our ecu is designed to idle at 700 rpm at full engine temp (MSP, but P5 and 3rd gen sedan is the same I think). I see it bounce around between 690 and 710 usually (digital gauges). ... if the compressor (A/C or windshield) or anther load is on, the idle will be around 800, maybe as high as 850...
i've heard that really fat chicks will actualy end up breaking the ejection mechanism - too much load on the motors... I've never experienced this though - no fat chicks are allowed in my car.
there are 3 wires to the dimmer - ground and 2 others. attach pos to one of the others, and neg to the other of the others.
... lol makes sense to me. I've wired in 5 cars like that.
if you want the gauge lights to dim with the dash, attach BOTH pos and neg wires to the dimmer coloured wires (not the black ground). You can solder or use the splicers. Don't ground to the chassis anywhere for the lights and you're good to go.
edit: yea just like your diagram. Just make sure...
That would have been the plan - but I got an insane deal on my torinos because they were in a horrible colour. Since I was going to reupholster anyhow, it just made sense :) Glad you like it.
he gave me a deal because I agreed to hand out business cards at shows I'll be attending. His normal price would be somewhere around $22-2400 CDN tax in.
So, this is my new upholstery! I chose fabric for the seats and backs for best grip, suede-ish fabric to match the doors on some accent areas, and leather for some of the inserts, headrests, and part of the seat backs. (Those are Sparco Torino's under there, by the way) The work was done by...
a tank full of sunoco 94 at 89 cents a litre. $30 total
Edit: actually that wasn't the last thing. the real last thing was a medium double double and a medium iced cap from Tim Hortons.
I have MT front and rear. LOVE them. they take a while to settle in (5-6000 KM) and they are much harsher than stock (duh). Drivability is super increased (wheel hop is virtually gone, shifting seems smoother due to less transmission flex). The feel of being super connected to the car is...
a guy in our club has been hitting fuel cut (spark cut, whatever it is) at stock boost as well in the cooler weather. we built SRI from the CAI on Sunday and he's still hitting cut at stock boost. I'm not hitting cut at 7.5 psi driving the same route about 5 minutes later. go figure. I wouldn't...

fitment to the stock bolt locations is PERFECT. no drilling, no nothing. just bolt 'em in and away you go.
Warning: rails do NOT work properly with Tom Motorsports seats - need to drill a hole in the rail to fit to these seats...
Well I did it. I took a hacksaw to my CAI, to make a SRI for winter.
On Sunday, I made a SRI from the injen CAI. I don't have plans to go back to a CAI in the spring so I took out the hacksaw. I cut about 3" off the pipe that connects to the turbo at the MAF side. I took off the flange (about...
Hyundai has one too, I think it's the elantra5. Hmmm. Maybe 5 refers to 5 doors? and if that IS the case, don't MOST 5 doors look kinda similar to each other??
