a few things I've learned in my travels so far: You can get compressor surge when not in boost. the reason is that the turbo is still spinning inside the housing at the speed of the exhaust whether or not it's being used to create boost. If you are at 5000 rpm you're not necessarily in boost all...
i'm a window clean freak too - on the outside I use RainX and paper towels - no steaks if you do it right - and it has the benefit that you never need to use your windshield wipers :) On the inside, I use an industrial glass foam cleaner that the guy who tinted my windows uses. I think the can...
had this morning another bad experience w/ Ontario Mazda @ 401/Dixie. stay far far away. Gyro Mazda is great (Eglinton/Laird), and by far the best = Dave Wood Mazda in Newmarket. Far for most people to go, but well worth the drive for the speed and quality of service. Oh yeah, Copping Mazda in...
www.imageshack.us ... I use it for almost everything now. upload the image, it never goes away, and you get all the links you need for all the forums and html..
peeps: not really - adding on a 3" straight pipe extension with no cats, resonators, or mufflers, won't defeat the purpose of this valve, but it will put the exhaust gasses where you want them. When it's not in use, stock exhaust will keep it nice and quiet and not attract attention from the...
with raid5 I believe you would have to start over each time, though it is the most effecient use of drives (essentially 1 drive for parity, though parity info is stored across all drives). Raid 5 read speeds are excellent (which will be your primary use of it), though write speed is slow because...
is it electronically opened or based on exhaust pressure or IM pressure? Is it adjustable if based on pressure? 2.5"? 3"? .. or designed to fit stock exhaust? Can it be partially open, or is it an on/off thing?
edit: my mistake, just reread it's electric. Does the dump part have a flange for...
I lack the funds for a wideband. I don't know what duty cycle my injectors are running at. I don't have money to replace my motor.
But I did wire in a cool gauge that tells me % of max airflow through the MAF. Assuming that .9V is about 15% airflow, and knowing that 5V is the max value that the...
if your car was black, i'd say 100% stock with no wing. I'm a HUGE fan of wingless black trunks. but anything aside from that, IMO CF would look better if you want to take off the wing.
OK dexter in your case that doesn't make sense then... I was thinking more of titanium-99 because he's got the vibrant, same as mine, and it's not attached. stock should be attached at the tranny so there's something else seems to be going on there with you!
same thing happens to me - but I'm not running stock setup. The reason it almost stalls on me sometimes is that I'm still venting a tiny bit of air back through to the intake (or maybe to atmosphere even), even if I'm not in boost it still creates pressure differential between the IM and the...
My stock exhaust had an attachment point that bolted to the transmission. My vibrant didn't have this same attachment - all exhausts on FWD cars IMO should be attached to the transmission.
I haven't had one made yet, but after reading this will be the next thing I do. when you're on the gas...
