The car calculates the mpg based on certain measurable factors but it never calculates based on actuals. It never calculates the volume of fuel used and uses that it approximates it based on some sort of a formula.
what this does - some people get the same mpg as their car gets. Some get less...
19 is extreme. I am thinking 15-16% is doable for non turbo models. Mazda may have done their research on turbos and stock enough to meet demand which could keep transaction prices higher.
For me I saw the lowest price paid on truecar and paid 10% less than that. You see the avg 28566, your lowest on the graph would be 27000, I paid 27000-2700 so 24300. Kbb / truecar has zero value and accuracy. Its the same as dealer invoice price which is worthless.
As a buyer only focus on Msrp...
Impossible to Predict. I would be comfortable saying 150K miles to 200K, if you really really want something to last 300K and that is due to financial reasons and not others (environmental etc) - you are already choosing a bad car (1-2 year old Japanese). You should search value in cars that are...
CX-30 will be lighter with same power 2.5NA - but knowing this is Mazda it will still do 60 in 7.6 seconds and have a 0.25 mpg advantage over a CX-5. Get the CX-5, only ++ in getting the 30 is interior which is next gen and the new screen and commander knob.
As I said I am not worried about drivetrain. It seems the car will fall apart before any significant drivetrain issues.
I just noticed that the protectant on the headlights has started to erode / rip. This is at 3 years and they will turn hazy pretty fast if that protection dies. In comparison -...
Shocks and Struts were preventive or they needed to be changed?
After 3 years and 33K miles I am not worried about the drivetrain - the rest of the car's build quality is another issue.
CRV hybrid is going to have same drivetrain as Accord hybrid which does not use 1.5T. It uses a 40% thermally efficient 2 liter NA engine and it does not have a transmission in true sense. Upto 44 mph it will be a direct drive as an EV with battery or engine acting as a generator. Above 44 it...
What? Mazda's advertising was highest mpg by a non hybrid system when 2.0 Sky G was released. Gen1 was in both 2.0 and 2.5L really fuel efficient. Gen2 is where mpgs went worse than Gen1. Now the 2019 Mazda 3 is 27 city and 35 highway which is worse than Accord / Camry which are a size larger.
I got my rear TSB done and after that, when the EPB is engaged and I press the throttle it does not disengage. It used to do that before. I just went out of warranty.
Taurus - rides high almost as high as a CX-3 comfortable to get in and out. Come in SHO trim that is fun and has a huge trunk + if he doesn't like ladies' cars - it fits the bill.
Lastly - Ford sedan values are crushed now. Whatever 19s are left are sold with 30+% discounts. 25k for a 38K MSRP...
The RX 350 V6 is the same engine/ same family 2GR V6 as you see in 2007-2018 Avalon, Camrys, Highlander, Tacoma, ES350, Sienna. This is Toyota's bread and butter. Each of these cars are bullet proof. You are putting 3 years of CX-9 against this? You are making Honda fanbois look rational.
OP if...
Mazda isn't making a car for most people. Even Mazda President has said that same thing. I have seen a lot of Rav4s with steel wheels and it looks embarrassingly bad. Same with base model Corolla's.
Second point about cargo and volume - if you are hauling hay / farm feed etc. then yes, total...
Lexus has longer range, better dealer experience and luxury interior. Will be bullet proof as its not a new drivetrain. If you can change oil filter then owning a Mazda will be good. But in general Mazda dealer experience will be two notches lower than Lexus. Overall cost of ownership will be...
Yeah change filter every 6 months, goes along with change brake fluid every year and change engine oil every 750 miles. That and change tires every 10K miles and finally when I retire my CX5 and compare running costs to my neighbor's X5 - it comes out even (drive)
