Here we are talking about 1.2 second difference to 60, even with 87 octane that waters down to more than half a second. Gen 1 and 2 were never more than .2 seconds apart.

I read somewhere that break in period for a new Honda Civic 1.5T was 28000 miles. Yes and expected lifespan is 3.5 million miles lol. Honda is best at fooling people.
16 CX5 sport had a TSB where manual seats adjusted would sink in. So add that to Mazda's windshield / rear camera / dash pieces and quality in many places. You are in good hands if your dealer is good, otherwise expect to be running around. I doubt Mazda corporate would approve anything unless...
Of the current Mazda's only the 2.5T CX-5 is a strong competitor in its class competing with NX and RDX models from Lexus and Acura and coming ahead of various fronts including price. Everything else is pretty dang avg.
CX9 - pretty and best handling. Slowest entries and has a lot of less...
By the time you wear your pads to 2-3 mm you will cause your rotors to warp slightly. More so if you brake while turning instead of before entering the turn. Such a huge percentage is labor that turning might be few additional dollars. One more reason why my dealer offers it could be people just...
Hi All
Wanted an opinion on what did you pay your dealer for brake service. Here are my quotes in USD $
335 + Taxes - 1 Axle : pads + rotors turned AND fluid flush + replace (all 4 sides).
199 1 Axle pads + Rotors turned
My rears will need service before the front ones do - So I will get...
Peak reliability and value is 2017 CX5 (ones made in later part of its cycle). If you are going to keep it for 50-100K miles 2019 should be good. If you have dreams of doing 300k miles in this - look at Rav4 Hybrid and be happy.
This is not coming to stateside yet. It will sell well in EU / Japan where a 135 mile EPA or 180 mile range as per EU standards is appealing. The cargo hatch is pretty bad - it slants so much. Most importantly what will be the charging speed? 30 mins to 80% should be bare minimum.
US might see...
I hear my actuators as well and this has been happening for a while. So I would say it started 2 years after purchase. I have all 4 unlock on auto. Means I will need 4 actuators when it goes balls up.
This should not be happening on 5 year old car.
I wouldn't recommend Mazda for the OP.
With the exception that you are in your 20s with no kids and flexible work arrangements like working from home or own business and decent time to chase your dealer for TSBs. Most Mazda dealers don't like doing TSBs and Mazda uses TSBs instead of recalls...
Something similar happened to me as well. My electric parking brake would disengage automatically when I pressed the throttle, after a TSB Mazda took away that feature. I can rev to 6000 rpms without the brake disengaging.
I don't know the specifics - it could use some sensors to verify how long the throttle position is depressed and how quickly it is depressed to calculate approx. fuel consumption and match it against distance but I don't think any car measures the volume of fuel used and takes that into...
