If they build the US market CX-5 here, rather than in Japan, it will make me think again about buying one. Much prefer my Japanese cars to be built in Japan. I made an exception with my 20 Frontier, but it's a pretty basic vehicle...
Totally agree with the ridiculous progression of electronics in todays cars. I will say Mazda still makes a mostly black interior in its current cars. Here is a CX-90 in black... Still looks very similar to the CX-5. My hope is the new CX-5 doesn't have the full touchscreen controls as has...
But Mazda never did tune it well (256hp out of a 2.5l turbo isn't very impressive - most other makes use a 2.0l Turbo and make more hp than Mazda). Most folks don't want to mess with aftermarket tuning as it's quite finicky. It will be sad to see the turbo cancelled, but I get it as the MPG is...
My dealer did the same thing at 30k. Recommended the exact same things at the same prices. I had just changed my filters so that was particularly annoying. They have definitely become worse over time. I will be doing my own work when the warranty expires. I declined everything other than the...
You change your engine air filter every 3-4 mths? How many miles are you driving in that time? I do mine every 15k. Cabin filter? That is yearly as they are so cheap.
The turbo has the CX-9 front brakes, which are larger diameter- 12.6" vs 11.7" than the standard CX-5 brakes, but that has been the same since the turbo was released in '19.
I can't believe you have driven 76k without any brake work! That is amazing. I had my rear brakes worked on recently...
As said above, you can buy the standard filters on Amazon for about $5-6 each. Why not just get a new filter every year rather than going through the washing/drying of the K&N? If you do a filter every 12k/12mths that would be 6yrs of filters to buy the K&N.
Interesting about the brakes as they are exactly the same on a 19 and 25 unless they have changed the pads used. How many miles are on your 19? Have the rotors/pads been replaced? With my '19, which was a non turbo GT, I had no issues with the brakes over 20k miles. On my '21 Turbo with the...
The point of the OP asking was to find out if they could be removed for debadging. If there will be holes left behind, debaging is kind of off the table (unless you want to do some bodywork too)...
