How do you open it then when you are in the back of the truck? I would guess all of them have these, the button to unlock though is next to it and is electric.
i used to have the same problem, you need to take it apart, the shaft gets rusted, take it apart, clean it well and lub it real good but you really need to take it all apart.
Nice job, I bought the parts from them but ended up getting rid of the car before installing them, I hope your vehicule was still in very good condition to put so much time, money and effort into it!
tire size won't change anything as the size is the same in front and in the rear. What is important is the ratio size between front and rear. You could put 3" higher tires if you wanted, as long as you have the same size front and rear.
This is the first time i hear of someone who wants to...
Here is the thread I posted, still have the parts if you want to buy them...

I have bought the part but did not perform the repair as I got rid of the car after all since it was not worth putting so much work into but basically you need to remove the transmission and take the differential out f it and get a machine shop to weld the new part in place. You need to get your...
There is no real data as to how many failed or not so it is an impossible question to answer, not everyone come on this forum and most that do, usually came because they had a problem so i doubt it is representative of how it really is. I had a 2007 and failed on the transfer case and...
no, i cleaned it a bit lately to see if that was the problem and then i forgot about it, didn't drive the truck much and some day i realised there was oil on the floor of the garage so the leak definately came back. I just didn't drive it enough yet to see a leak since i cleaned it with brake...
well i used some engine cleaner last time and it wasn't a success in term of cleaning the engine. Now i tried the brake cleaner and man that stuff works! Now that it is clean, i let the engine run for a little bit and didn't see anything, went for a ride and didn't see anything so i guess i will...
I have a pretty big oil leak in front of the engine and can’t see where it is from, it is wet all the way behind the alternator, anyone ever had that kind of leak?
hmm yeah just saw that lol, i didn't remember it gave me a code, well maybe you are right after all. It might be something inside the diff. Honestly from that point i don't really know as if the wire was cut, seems like yes you would get a code.
sorry i can't be of more help
i don't think you'll get an obd code with this problem as it is not engine related. I'd say try to lower the front of the diff to see if the wires seems so start to cut, they usually cut right where they enter the diff. They start to corrode first.
Could be but the only reported problem with the rear diff is usually the wire for the solenoid that gets cut and when that happens you get a solid 4wd light.
If the splines are out, there is still a little bit of friction which would be enough to turn the driveshaft but not the rear wheels. You...
It definitely is the transfer case, look at all the posts in this section, there are plenty of threads and info on this problem. You might have also chewed the transmission splines which would mean a new transmission if you want to recover your awd. No way to know if you also need this untlil...
Hard to tell, have you tried to just put an additional collar on the hose? Sometimes the deposits of a small leak prevents the hose from sitting evenly, you can clean it and use a regular hose clamp which will adjust even if the hose is a little compressed compared to the OEM clamp.
i just replaced that fitting, it is not a hard job, it is only one bolt to the top of the beam. Just use some vice grip on each side so you don't drop all the coolant. Part number CY0115520B.
