month to month, they are no different from a piston motor. it's the parts that get you. if it runs $100 for a piston motor, it costs $200 for a rotary. with the age of all rx7's these days, in order to own a reliable and fun car, you need to consider a grand to fix whatever is broken or about to...
the OG's in my area told me that the FC rears are only different from 4-5 lug. the fronts are only different, as you said, from 4 pot or not. that is coming from guys who have more FC experience than i do. i never had to do brakes on mine, so i couldn't tell you 100%
everything is more or less speculation until the next rotary hits the showrooms, but there is a section on this forum devoted to news, gossip, and further speculation. we are all pretty sure that it will be an rx9.
good shifter. that is the same thread, IIRC, as most mazdas. take the knob off of your p5 and see if it threads onto the fc. if so, you can just get a standard knob from twm. you could even just enter your p5 as the car on twm just to be sure the thread is correct.

pay attention to the thread. the s4 shifter has a different thread than the s5 and fd. generally, the short shifters have the same thread as the s5. s4 is the only odd-ball really. what shifter did you use?
had a pretty good time. went to two of the 20 record stores there so i could pick up a copy of the new radiohead album. that is the one thing austin has that i envy. we don't have record stores like that here. just incredible. our's are like sifting through everyone's leftovers.
hit a couple...
first year is always the worst with any car. i think that the 2009 + models are pretty nice, but don't know the numbers on reliability.
since you own a 7, you should know that mazda loves sunroofs. their rx line is going to be fairly hard to find in a slick top, so good luck on that one. it...
I have rock blocker film on my fogs and I can tell you it is not as easily reversible as it seems. to correctly paint them, it is going to cost some money. to paint with off the shelf stuff, it should cost about 20 bucks.
either way is about the same. if you paint them, prep them correctly and...
i understand that a bad relay would keep the fan from kicking on, but would it keep the gauge from reading hot? as i said before, the gauge reads at operating temperature, but the car is obviously overheating.
the system is circulating water and the water pump has resistance with the belt off...
here are the details;
02 p5. the car will overheat, but the gauge won't read hot. the fan won't kick on at all and the radiator will just boil over. i replaced the temperature sensor on the return line with no change in any symptoms. the radiator isn't clogged because the water is circulating...
yes, the FS is the motor in the msp. it also came in all third generation protege's. the FS and BP motors had the same bolt pattern on the transmission side, so it shouldn't be any problem. a couple of issues to address immediately will be trans mounts and engine mounts. there may be issues with...
