I will say VWs DSG wet clutch thats in the GTI is MUCH better than Fords DCT. Its fast like lightning shifts.

The main issue Ford had was oil leaking from the gear box into the bell housing which then fouled the clutches (that were not designed to be wet) and caused those issues. I would not assume every other automakers DCT would have the same issue. Some conventional autos are bad. Some are good. Same...

I believe theirs is a dry clutch which probably has a much longer, maybe lifetime, interval. That being said even though they require more frequent fluid changes I very much prefer wet clutch DCT. On my GTI its every 40k so not a big issue to me.

Exactly! One of the things I liked about the CX-5 is actually that it wasnt too big. Things like turning radius and park ability would suffer. Thats why I was surprised to see CX-30 not CX-7 (more Edge sized). But like I said you cant make everyone happy.

Maybe seat differences. The one we have, convertible, is rounded so the sides dont come forward as far. As a result it fits better in the middle and still touches the fronts on the sides. I could probably go to a side if I moved the seat all the way up.

I find for rear facing you kinda need the middle. Those seats are huge. For kid hauling minivan is king albeit not cool.

Its not installing from the phone. Rather its the phone being mirrored on the screen in the car. The cable does need to be connected for it to work as Mazda has not implemented wireless CarPlay. Only BMW and Audi do that I am aware of.

I mainly put this here in regards to people complaining that the CX-5 is too small, lacks 3rd row, or that suv 3rd rows are hard to use. If the last two are your complaint you should probably own a mini van not an suv. To your point. With one kid really any car should be ok honestly. A buddy...

Yea its on the same platform too so I think its mainly different sheet metal on the outside..... and yea size is about right to me. Im not skinny but Im not really huge either. [emoji2371] Armrest is definitely spread out a bit.
