Had a direct experience today at a local dealer. I'm on the shorter side, so height fitment is never an issue for me in most vehicles. Seats at least initially are definitely better than my 2019 CX-5. Immediately feels more supportive without the back and seat area itself being too firm, but...
Follow up on porting Yakima towers/bars from a CX-5 to the CX-50. Took a closer look at the dealer today. CX-50 OEM rails while very similar to the CX-5's do sit lower into the roofline. The sunroof also seems to open higher than on my CX-5. Those two factors potentially mean my existing...
Possibly something also to do with dealer selection--went to my local place this morning, and all the top trim CX-50's in their stock had the black interior and not in the terracotta I prefer. I really love the Polymetal Gray Metallic after seeing it in person. As I had suspected from the...
Thank you, Ceric! That is very helpful.
Since I have aftermarket Yakima bars and towers/mounts, mostly then concerned about the potential lack of holes as the Yakima Ridgeclip #29 kit I have has a pin to fit in one of the OEM CX-5 rail holes. But, I suspect there are other Ridgeclip kits that...
Among other considerations about potentially switching to a CX-50, I’m assessing if I will still be able to use my existing Yakima crossbars and towers.
It appears from photos that the OEM rail design is the same or very similar to the one on my current CX-5, so I’m pretty comfortable assuming...
Interestingly, there are different OEM hitches for non- and then Turbo models, and the Turbo version upgrades to a 7 pin wiring harness vs the non being 4 pin. And both will activate Tow Mode in the vehicle automatically when something is inserted into the hitch.
Here's a YouTube link to a TikTok video that shows the panoramic roof movement as well as the automatic sliding shade/cover. The front portion which opens seems very similar to my CX-5's sunroof (tilt and sliding open slightly more than 1/2).
Ignore the cutesy virtual person at the beginning...
SIGH or perhaps it is "Dark Silver"....so much conflicting info. I'm half tempted to use a clear touchup paint to fill in the chip and prevent it from growing further, versus a poorly matching silver paint attempt.
Anyone know of a close enough matching touch-up silver paint suggestion for the 2019 Signature rims? Was washing my CX-5 recently and went to remove what I thought was a smallish spot of black schmutz on the rims, and which instead turned out to be a chip which I unfortunately enlarged.
I no longer have Sirius/XM active so I unfortunately cannot check that specifically. Pandora within CP starts up almost immediately but it always did for me.
I have noticed that music starts playing a bit faster and reliably via my existing iOS Shortcut to automatically start a playlist via...
Updated my 2019 US-spec CX-5 Sig to 74.00.230A NA over the weekend. I've regularly done this to this vehicle and my previous 2016 GT, so comfortable with the process and prefer using the most current official version anyway. Haven't had any issues since the update, but also haven't yet seen...
Haven't been back to the dealer yet for the next service, but I will respond on this thread when I do. I have noticed that after a couple of days with the console always in the up position, the indentation almost completely disappears to the point where someone (including the dealer) might...
