(This thread seems like it may now better fit in the Infotainment section)
Just upgraded to .335 myself. Other than the 3 minute wait for the system to turn off completely as part of the final install steps, I haven't really let my car sit for hours and then tried it, but so far the response...
Ah, didn't catch it wasn't fully in accessory mode, apologies. I hope it turns out to be something identifiable and easily fixed, and please do circle back and let us know what the outcome might be.
Maybe wait and see, or if you are really uncomfortable, take it to your dealer. If they can't replicate it nor find a reason/fix, you probably want to try to narrow things down a bit....could be an ignition or a keyless system sensor issue, or even maybe something more random like radio...
Ah, so maybe the dealer did an upgrade to that new firmware during the OPs oil change visit and it has fixed the pretty common sluggishness on the KF CX-5s...?? Once the OP confirms what version his vehicle currently has, I'll probably upgrade as my current CX-5 came from the factory with...
Agreed, and oh how I wish I had that option. Jealous LOL. Just not practical to have 3 cars for two people and space for keeping it is also an issue. The current Anniversary Edition got me seriously drooling....
Wow, I never noticed this indeed apparently standard CP limitation before now! That's probably because I always use a playlist and select it before I leave my garage (before the car is moving), and if I do switch to another during a trip, I use voice commands.
I've had 3 vehicles since, and loved all of them for different reasons, but I still miss both of my Miatas (2001 & 2006). So much fun to drive, although at times impractical for a primary vehicle, in particular with the absolutely terrible South FL drivers and concern about protection during...
Thanks! Actually thought about those. I recall how nicely those worked on my NJ EZ-Pass and original FL Sunpass, but at least FL now has moved to only offering suction cup boxes or flat permanent adhesive transponders. I forget what the product is called--kinda a cousin to Velcro, but both...
Wow...never even thought about Command Strips working for this application, even though I use some of the hooks around my house. Thank you for the suggestion! Surprised that your experience is so positive, in particular with the temp gradients, but I guess I shouldn't be if I think about it...
I have a Blackvue dash cam that started in my 2016 and is now in my 2019. I have it mounted in the same place--on the sensor cover below the mirror. Due to different angle of the windshield or then the sensor cover in the 2019, I had to mount the front cam a bit lower than I did in my 2016 to...
That is one sweet looking mod! Before I looked at the pics, I read "carbon fiber" and immediately mentally groaned, expecting to see some ridiculously over the top set of tips, but those are nice and I really like the way the dark color works with the lower bumper cover.
Not sure what region you might live in, but: there is sometimes exact same remote overlap between same-era Mazda vehicles, but not always. Also, sometimes different Mazda remotes may work or partially work with other vehicles. Then there's also the potential button differences. Also, isn't...
I just chalked it up to regional sourcing differences, just like we see in the other standard accessories that in reality can vary a bit in function/appearance country to country. To save costs and expenses, I always assumed car manufacturers will seek as local as possible sourcing for...
Agreed with Unobtanium. Newer phones are designed to better manage the shortcomings of rechargeable battery life in terms of frequent short term recharges. I think it is literally called Power Management or something like that....
I mean, you are correct that overall it still isn't recommended...
I've seen USB cables that include a switch to turn off data syncing and then only allow charging, but not the opposite which is what it seems you'd want here. I see a lot of similar general (non-charging Android USB cables) inquiries via a Google search, so a not rare request. There just...
If you do go to your dealer on this issue, definitely mention the possibly related car wash factor. I mean, unlikely in a more modern car, but maybe possible that moisture is getting into/onto something that's causing a problem with the Sirius box or the connections/antenna's ability to connect...
