Thank you, Antoine! I had no takers, so the tire went to Carvana with my CX-5 (you can delete that Marketplace post if you'd like). I have another, even better slightly used tire (Pirelli Scorpion w/16k mi. on it) I'd also like to give away, but it's at my summer home in KY, so I will post...
Getting rid of my CX-5 and I have a OEM Toyo A36 tire (unmounted) that I've kept around as a spare for a couple of years now...in an air-conditioned apartment.
P225/55R19, 8/32d" of tread. I'd prefer to give it away.
Anyone in the Naples, FL area that would like this thing and can pick it up...
I'm trading in my CX-5 on Wednesday (for a BMW car). This is a great forum; thank you to all the moderators and members for all of the information and help over the years.
I'll post more info but I have a OEM Toyo A36, 19", sitting in my condo in Naples, FL. Would like to give it away...
I'm sneaking up on 68, my friend! I still like speed, but not in an SUV. Hope to pick up a Corvette at the factory/museum once we've decided if we're replacing the CX-5.
Not really, overall, but I like the slightly bigger rear legroom/cargo cap., the hybrid MPG, and Honda reliability. I would really miss my HUD (not available in CRV middle trim) and in particular the ventilated seats (I live in the south). The CX5 is better looking, inside and out, and even...
Interesting read; wonder who wrote it...Antoine? Good timing for me, as I test-drove a 2025 CR-V hybrid just yesterday. Test drove a CX-50 hybrid last week (nice but I prefer the CX-5 to the 50). Also looked at a Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid recently, too much $$. Am considering trading my 2020...
I squirt the stuff on the non-perforated sections of the seats, wipe it in, and then use the wet rag on the perforated parts after that. That system works well to avoid plugging up any of the holes with the leather stuff.
I had the (exact) same problem on my 2020. 2 flashes, then one, than a long pause before repeating. It started, coincidentally (?) on the WAY HOME from a dealer-provided oil change. It went out after I stopped at a store for a bit, but I texted the service advisor anyway. Of course, he said...
I had mine (driver's side, same deal) fixed, fortunately under factory warranty. The technician took almost 2 hours, he said it was a somewhat difficult job, as Tchman2016 noted. Turned off the feature once the warranty expired. I only close them for car washes.
Brilliant suggestion, CTt3P5! Instead of a roll, I just got one foot-square sheet yesterday at Michael's (on sale for a buck-something, as well!) and cut a few pieces today to cover the stickers on my visors. However, I recall that the Oracle 651 is more permanent, while the 631 is removable...
As I contemplate my next new car purchase, the odds of me buying a 3rd CX5 (had a 2014, have a 2020) just increased from near-zero (only because I like variety; I love CX5s) to maybe 85%. If I have any complaint about my 2020, it's that I think it should be better than 26 mpg lifetime. Give me...
No, none at all. I had it put on the rear. I kept it in hopes of not having to buy a new tire next time I get a sidewall nail. But I don't have as sensitive a butt as many posters here...I can't reallly tell the difference between tires much, and always thought the OEM Toyos were just fine...
I agree, found it weird myself. The OEMs were at 9/32 after 22k of driving, and the replacement is at 8/32 after less than 10k of driving. The new Pirellis started at 11/32.
I also have a 2020 Sig., and had an unrepairable sidewall nail in one of the Toyos at 22,300 miles. Stopped at a tire shop, they pushed to sell me all 4! Another said get 2. My other 3 OEM tires had 9/32" at the time. I then went to a Mazda dealer, they said I was fine buying just one, so I...
