I've had this issue for well over a year - Main tech said it's a known issue but Mazda has yet to publish a TSB so there is nothing they can do. Only happens at slow speeds (like parking), when applying brakes (Fwd or Rev).. Super annoying...
I have a similar clicking/spring link noise for the past several months, and the lead Mazda tech says it's my brake calipers. As the pads wear, there is more of a gap and this the new gen CX9 is prone to this. There is no fix or TSB yet. He asked me to write an email about this issue to my sales...
I was told the brakes on the previous gen and the '16+ are very different. Supposedly the '16+ discs wear more evenly front to back, and some may find the rears wear faster than the fronts.. where as the previous gen wear out the front quote often - must be the Ford DNA as my old Ford Explorer...
To me it's looks like the Outback on steroids.. which to most Suburu fans is a big bonus. It will sell well, especially in NE where Subarus are everywhere. Certainly way better than the awful B9 Tribeca they came out with years ago....
Not sure if I need 19 cupholders, but he Dash mounted 180...
It just Ok... on curves, it loses sight of the car ahead and starts to accelerate - even though the car ahead is the same distance. So it then brakes to keep the distance that it was set to - so this is rather annoying.
If you look at the newly redesigned RAV4, it only has Apple Car Play, no Android Auto - anyone care to ask Toyota why they did that???
There isn't any vehicle out there that has everything you want - I'd say the CX-9 was the best combo of what I wanted within the budget I wanted to spend.. I'd...

I have the same noise - started around 10k miles..tech said it was the break calipers engaging... I believed him at first, but now I think it's definitely a suspension / spring issue - they...
Replaced Rear Springs - TSB MSP49
Didn't fix my noise though - I went back and had the tech stand outside to listen - he said it's the brake caliper re-engaging (it does make the noise when I brake).. after 10K miles, the brake pads gets thinner so it's not as "tight" - it's a known issue with...
I've had the squeaking (more like springs banging) for over 3 months.. I brought it in for an oil change 3 months ago and the tech could not repeat the noise, so they did nothing.
I just brought it in for failed wipers, and mentioned the noise and right away, they said there is a TSB to...
So on my way home from VT the past Sunday, and my wipers stopped working - luckily the rain had stopped, but I was totally frustrated as moing the wiper stalk was useless. I tried restarting the car multiple times and even checked the Fuse box by the drivers footwell.
Hit up the dealership...

Supposedly we get free NAV updates (but not sure if US folks do) via the web and it updates the SD Card.
I've downloaded the tool but have not had success with using it.
Snow driving been excellent with the Falkens. It accelerates very linear in the snow, hardly any side to side drifting... I'll have to say that my previous Gen CX-9 was pretty decent in the snow too, with OEM tires
After the last snowstorm, I got a hit on my left rear by a hit and run driver backing out of a spot. Scraped bumper (and the reflectors), rear hatch and rear fender.
