I’ve gotten 40’ish mpg on some long drives as well(6-10hr), same oil brand/type/oci. I made the call since the beginning to do frequent oci with affordable oil & filter given the driving the Mazda 3 does.
Next factor would be location weather, I haven’t checked the parameters during the summer...
@nhluhr Can you share a picture or short clip of the fog light in action.
I might go this route as well vs oem housing with yellow led bulb, its below average.
What accessories have you installed since you've had the car, some accessories do drain the battery.
Either way you can check for battery drain, check youtube for examples and try it yourself.
Check if battery voltage when in idle is 14 to 14.5VDC
What's your engine OCI and what weight do you use.
In my case atx and engine oil temps are close to each other.

I’d recommend these springs to anyone if you want a great daily oem plus upgrade.
Next upgrade will be bilstein B4 front and rear...

You got some mix of selection there, how do they match up ?
On my 16'Mazda 3 (base speaker system) I've replaced stock dash twitters with "middler" 3-1/2" pioneer TS-A879 and front and rear doors with Infinity reference coaxial 61/2"...

Been looking at Forscan, might get that but in the mean time I'm using the Car scanner app and tracking some aforementioned engine parameters.
I've noticed the only voltage reading is that of the PCM and its max...
Which obd2 scanner/app combo you're using, I'm thinking to do the same for 16' mazda 3.
Temps and voltage are easy to monitor, most engine parameters are best data logged then reviewed afterward until you find a set of parameters to review live.
It gets cumbersome to review live engine...
