Depends on the rental place and where it was rented. Always exceptions to the rule but most rental vehicles see a hard life. Some vehicles/drive trains are more susceptible to failure if not maintained correctly. Others can be maintained poorly but still live a long life. It all depends on how...
I saw a 2018 CX5 at Enterprise and the body was pretty badly scratched for a new vehicle. The interior was dirty and tons of stains and spills. It only had 20k miles on it. The rental place said they changed the oil around 10,000 miles but it's common for rentals to go OVER their scheduled...
Motor Trend tested the 2019 CX5 turbo with premium fuel:
0-60 = 6.4 seconds
1/4 Mile = 14.9 @ 93.6mph
non-turbo 0-60 = 8.3 seconds
so almost 2 seconds was knocked off, which is a lot
Mazda can release it in NA but nobody in NA is buying a diesel vehicle, except for heavy duty trucks. Diesel is dead in cars and SUVs.
Who would want to deal with a Mazda diesel after all the problems it had in Europe and Asia? Overheating, blowing up, oil dilution, etc.
One can buy a Honda...
That's the point. It is designed so it is NOT NOTICEABLE. Is was engineered to be unnoticeable.
Only way would be to test the cornering and see what times and G's you can pull
Turbos have an intercooler and the hotter the setup gets, the less power it puts out.
Racers will put icebags on the intake charge to cool it down. The hotter the air, the less power. The cooler the air, the more power it makes
Also, if the sensors detect knock, the computer will pull timing...
I ended up with these lights. So far so good after almost 1 year. They are white when driving and then they flash in unison with the turn signals and turn amber.
One thing to remember is that these are NOT headlights, more of a daytime driving light, which is different than headlights. 99% of...
Any reported fuel oil dilution issues on the 2.5 turbo?
With the Honda CRV turbo oil fuel dilution causing so many problems. I was wondering if Mazda had any issues with their turbos?

The new red vehicle will help also. The brighter the vehicle, the better. Dark greys and silvers are hard to see as they blend with the surrounding roadways.
I rented a new Ford Explorer and the sound system in that vehicle was WAY better than the Bose in my 2017 CX5. The Explorer radio system was so crisp and balanced, it blew me away. One of the best stereos I have ever listened to inside a vehicle. When I went back to drive my CX5, it was a...
Friend is looking at either a 2019 CX5 or a 2019 Toyota RAV4. AWD option.
I know this is a Mazda forum but one thing the Rav4 has is the HYBRID model which gets 43mpg on the highway and more power than the NA CX5.
Anyone compare and test drive these 2 vehicles?
