I think you got a "fair" deal, and are treating this in a respectable manner - you prob would have gotten more, but it would have cost you more money up front and time to do it. If you're happy with what you got, then cool. Put the money aside and enjoy no payments!
Is anyone else running this?
Last weekend at the track is just stopped working. It turned on fine, but asked which vehicle it was supposed to be reading. When I selected Honda (there is no Mazda setting on it - never has been) like it was running on before, nothing. So I reset it, it went into...
use a hairdryer and be patient. I used my GFs hair dryer - 10 minutes on the glue worked wonders. Helped seal it back up again too. NO chance of melting anything because it doesn't heat up the plastic enough.
Just found a replacment console panel for mouting a DIN deck in the mazda 6s: http://www.installer-data.com/item/display_item.php?it=99-7503
Hope someone can make use of this. .. I have no association in any with the website and have never ordered from them...
Only thing I can think of re: the banging of pipes sound is that the tranny mount for the exhaust on aftermarket exhausts wasn't replaced - pic of where it should be. with stock motor mounts or softer aftermarket mounts there will be a lot of movement at this spot and it might more around that...
i just read somewhere else on this board (sorry, didn't copy the link), that a couple of guys have done the inserts on the rear so the stock one doesn't get messed up, and the AWR AT (88 durometer I think) or MT (95 durometer) on the front. Good drivability, not huge vibration like the AWRs f+r...
Sevsev if you're ever going to be putting in aftermarket seats, it looks like these setups won't work with the seat brackets - just something to consider.
why gut your cats? why not replace with a nice steel core hi flow cat? That way you're still gaining performance but still as environmentally friendly as you can be. Plus your car won't stink. Not sure about the rules in Quebec, but in ontario I think there are pretty heavy fines for not having...
Went to the strip today (Cayuga). Had a great time.... and ran a pretty good time. timeslips + pics can be found here.
Main mods: 3" downpipe back, hardpipes, SRI with heat shield, and EBC set to 8.5 psi...
(mods, please move to whever this should be)
They look sweet in person. I had a good fortune to be at the dealership who was prepping them last week for the Canadian press show, I think there were 6 or 8 there, 3 of which will make it to the press viewing ... Very nice looking in person! I'd change the rims right away though. Too bad the...
When I first had mine installed the rattle I got was the head shield under the shifter. I don't have kartboy hangers but have both MT motor mounts. There was also a slight occasional rattle from the rear heat shield by the muffler.
I didn't (still don't) have a mount to secure the exhaust to...
in my case it stayed closed - because the ends of the little bolts actually acted like a clamp holding the piston closed. I think if it was jammed open you'd know because your turbo would spool like mad and you wouldn't be building too much boost - all the air would either be recirculating or...
i voted no. nearly all my modifications are removable and I like to keep it that way. Plus you can probably do something that is totally removable, like kickplates...
Of course, if you do it, you can always get replacement door plastic bits that don't have giant holes cut in them, or trade...
