I went the OE+ route and bought some take off cx 30 18 x 7.5 rims and installed 235/60/18s on my 20' machine grey AWD CX5. they're about .4" larger in diameter then the 19 equivalent but remain within the 3% deviation limit. Next step is plasti-dip the wheels flat black
This will tell you the difference between stock and larger. Use a 3% increase in any category as your threshold. Also i think try this wheel/tire/visualization tool: Discount Tire | Tires and Wheels for Sale | Online & In-Person that also includes compatible tire sizes
: Tire Size Calculator
I leave a 1st gen ipod plugged in and the only thing that bugs me is that the system recognizes and connects it before it does my phone to AA. But if I unplug it, the system boots quicker..
Wondering if anyone's made the swap. I've found a couple of sets in good condition for around $500. Would likely do with 235/60/18s.
Oh and if you have pics of this set up that would be great...
Cheers,
Jmac
Searching for some rims for my 2020 CX-5 to replace my 17" OE rims. Specifically 18" 3 or 6 rims 5x114.3 7/7.5/8.0 with 45mm offset or less. Just rims in good condition. I’m located in the CA, Bay Area and am willing to travel within reason around the state to get ‘em.
Thanks!
When i owned a 4runner a popular mod to improve braking was installing the front rotors and calipers from a 1st gen tundra. Is this possible with the cx 5?
I think that if the car was a lemon it would have already shown signs of it by the time you reached 3yr/36k milestone. What i would do is take it in to make sure that all the scheduled services & TSBs are done. You still have the 50k/5yr powertrain warranty. If you do decide to purchase it do...
