The 2.0 with manual transmission is a great car. The clutch and the smooth shifter could not be better. As others have said its not a fast car (its not meant to be), but its still so much fun to drive. I find the power very adequate, and do not desire for a larger engine. In this case less is...
I took my Mazda 626 to almost 400,000. The original fuel pump was good. I never even had to touch the fuel system. So I would not worry about a fuel pump. I only replaced the fuel filter once. The water pump developed a small leak at about 180,000. Since the water pump is not run off the...
Jump starting, then driving around like normal, does not sound like a bad alternator, but a bad battery. I would not drive the CX-5 around with a bad alternator. Our cars have electric power steering. So I am sure the car would die quickly with a bad alternator. I would suspect just the battery...
That is very early for an alternator to go bad. I'm not a fan of aftermarket parts, especially when its dealing with the electrical. If you are sure its the alternator and are mechanically inclined. I would take it out and check the brushes. Looks like brushes are sold at the dealer for about $8...
Unless insurance has changed lately. Deductibles only apply for repair of your own vehicle ( full coverage ). If its your fault the insurance will pay 100 percent of the bill to repair the other persons car.
Its not on your list, But I own a 2013 CX-5 and would not buy a 2017. For one thing I would be getting worse gas mileage. And the number one reason is there is no manual transmission offered in the 2017.
I don' know who else got 46mpg, But I did as well. I have no mods on my car. I drove from Galveston to Houston and drove conservative to see what mileage my car could achieve. By the time I parked my car at home it read 46mpg. One thing different about the CX-5 and my old 626 is, the 626 mileage...
Mazda has been making very reliable 4 cylinder engines long before the SkyActive engine. I stater owning them since 1985, and all have been exceptional in the reliability department. In fact I don't think the 2.2 cast iron engine can be beat ( you really have to be trying if you want to kill...
I have to agree with most here. Extended warranty is not worth it, especially third party. When my mom bought a third party warranty for her mercury, they would not pay for anything. The car would not start one day. Turns out there was something wrong with the distributer. Well that seemed great...
I do have the overhead console with the sunglass holder. But I put my sunglasses in there. I really like that holder. But I will keep the mirror, and get used to it. If not I will try to sell it, then get the other transmitter.
I got it from Mazda. It has compass, auto dimming and opens my garage door. Not sure I like it. It seems to be working great so far, its just bigger than the original mirror. Doesn't really let you see more outside the car. You just end up seeing the inside of the C pillars.
Kind of wish I just...
No mosquito repellent with deet. I have not used any solvents in the car. At worst I used glass cleaner on the windows. The rest has alway been a soft damp microfiber towel. After cleaning I have used 303 protectant inside the car.
I have not tried that. Don't want to mess things up till I know for sure what works. My internet searching for other mazda cars tell me people just tape around the wheel, and then paint.
I dont know. I just saw it yesterday. I don't any cleaners on my steering wheel. Just wipe clean with a damp microfiber towel. Then a dry one. Maybe the hot long summers in Houston. The rest of the steering wheel is still perfect.
Just not sure how to pry it off so I can paint it.
Or if anyone...
