Hi all,
I'm close to placing and order with my local Discount Tire that I've used for years, but I've never bought rims before.
I was going to get the Mazda M011 rims, but I don't want to have to coordinate another dealer with DT and went with rims/tires I can get from DT.
I've now decided on...
Thanks for that, sm1ke! That seems more reasonable. At least I'll be going down 1.5 lbs at each corner. Top of my list right now are 18" Mazda M011 wheels with the XL rated Falken Wildpeak A/T 235/60R18 tires. Snow and bumpy, gravel forest and county roads are the drivers.
Keeping my eye out...
Hi all,
I've been searching Google and Mazdas247 for the answer to this question, but having no luck. I'm sure I read a post by someone in the recent past contemplating new rims/tires that was doing a comparo with the OEM rims, but no luck. This is the 19x7.5 rim.
Looking to change both wheels...
The nice thing about fixing a scratch on an inner surface of a Soul Red car is that the 3rd layer used on the exterior of the car isn't there. You can see the color difference easily. It should be easier to match than the exterior with the tinted clear coat 3rd layer.
I just made the visit last Friday to my closest dealer which is a 2.5 hour drive. The complicating factor is that I live at 7000 feet in Flagstaff, AZ and the dealer is at 2000 in the Phoenix area. Friday morning when I left for my 11 am appt at the dealer, it was 10°F in Flagstaff and 45° in...
Didn't think of that, but just tried and YES, I can. The amber light shows up on my righthand gauge just about 1" to the left of the F (full) marker on the fuel gauge.
Thanks for that link. I think when I originally searched the XG-12s, I used the CX-5 Reserve with the turbo and it came up as a fit. I'll be changing tires next year, so I won't buy until I get the new Falkens in the 235 size and then I'll have to look again anyway.
Has Discount Tire ever run a sale on the Falken Wildpeak A/T? I see sales all the time for Michelin, Conti and the other major players, but haven't seen the Falkens on sale. Trying to plan for new tires in 2022.
Thanks,
Jim
