For us it came down to the leather seats and 360 camera. The Napa leather seemed like a much nicer grade of leather then the more generic OEM leather on the GT-R. I suggest you sit in both and then decide. We could have lived with GT-R but once you're spending mid to high 30's whats another 2k.
That thread is also pretty worthless due to the lack of a std. methodology for comparing deals. In that thread there's leftover '18 MY inventory compared with new '19 2.5's vs new 2.5T Sigs/GT-R's. (Apples to Oranges comparison when comparing deals)
IMHO Dealer Discount % based on the year and...
This thread is totally worthless without some standard methodology in comparing prices.
Deals involving trades, financing convolute the data and should be ignored.
Dealer discounts should be based on prices before any rebates since they come direct from Mazda. If the dealer adds B.S fees like...
Could it be a derivative of the CX-4 that's been a China only model so far? Hopefully throw in the 2.5T and give it a Sig. level trim and discontinue the CX-3.
Sonic Silver, White Pearl and Machine Gray in that order.
The Red is nice but I'd get tired of it very quickly!!
The Dark Blue and Black always look dirty.
They all seem the be clinging to the notion that the CX-5 2.5T competition is still CRV and RAV4. IMHO it's really RDX, Q5, XC40 and X3 when you look at features/performance vs. name.
...and a cold idling engine is running very rich. The rich condition is washing lubricant off the cylinder walls and creating a high wear situation. I never let a cold engine idle for more then a few seconds after startup.
I have yet to drive >4000 RPM so 87 is what I use. This summer, (after roads are dry and some break in time), I'll try some 93 when given a better opportunity to test it out.
Using >87 octane below 4000 RPM is just wasting money.
Thanks for posting the link. It's refreshing to see a legitimate source quoting 6.2.
The comments are interesting about this trim being overpriced. Yet, this trim competes head on with RDX, GLE, Q5, X3 and XC40. (most of which are about $10k higher priced with similar options).
Exactly 20"
No plans. The stock performance exceeds my expectations for an SUV and I'm not willing to risk the factory warranty. Next step might be to try Sport mode and 93 octane but so far I haven't even had it close to 4000 RPM.
I actually find the 360 degree camera useful. It's the backup camera that's pretty bad. I'd say it's even worse then Gen 1. However this time of year it's almost impossible to keep the camera's lens clean.
I'm not a fan of Mazda's NAV system or Android Auto w/Waze.
The Mazda system is still pretty primitive and voice recognition seems pretty flakey.
Android auto won't connect unless you're parked with parking brake on. Once it does connect the Waze map is a joke. Highways are about 1 pixel wide...
My report card at the 500 mile/3 wk point:
Performance - A (turbo gives me more then enough torque in any driving situation, finally lots of fun and no lag)
Handling - A
Brakes - A (but haven't really put them to the test)
Noise - B (Skyactive engines aren't the quietest, they get quieter upon...
