First long trip from South Texas to Nashville and back, I averaged about 29.5 actual MPG, based on miles travelled / gallons put in tank. The dash display showed from 1.5 to 2MPG higher than actual for every fillup. I would reset the mileage calculator at every fillup. Vehicle now has 4,300 miles.
Bring back the Mazdaspeed3! My 2007 is getting tired. I even bought it back from salvage after a rear-end collision and had it repaired, and last week some a-hole loosened my lug nuts and I lost the front driver's side wheel on a busy road. Thankfully nobody was hurt or killed. But I jacked her...
FYI, I did not get turn and lane info from Android Auto on the Active Display (HUD) when I drove my new CX-70 home from the dealership. I was pretty pissed because they said it was available. The next day, I found the SD card in the glove compartment, so apparently you won't get the full benefit...
I have a CX-70, which I assume is the same as the CX-90 as far as the annoyances I've found, which are all firmware-related.
If using Driver Personalization, it sometimes won't recognize you, and the screen for selecting your profile goes away quickly, so then you have to get into the settings...
We chose it because we'll never need the thrird row, and because IMO the CX-70 has a sportier look than the CX-90. I liked the side panel trim at the bottom, as well as the front grille area. Also, it was difficult to find the interior/exterior color scheme that we liked.
I like the wider rear view - it's nice to see the lane behind me and the lanes to the left and right of me. It does feel like other cars are coming up on you faster, though. But it really came in handy when I transported an 85" sofa I donated to a young lady to her apartment. I couldn't see a...
I've had my CX-70 TSP+ for a couple of weeks now. Overall, I think I'll eventually be in love. This is more like an awkward first date right now. There is much to like about it, but here are a few random annoyances thus far:
1) Sometimes, although the driver personalization recognizes me, it...
Oops. I took the wheel off this morning and saw that the bracket is part of the hose assembly. I had assumed it was a clip-on. I guess that's why it wasn't part of the suspension diagrams!
So the upper nut came off my front stabilizer link. There is a bracket that fits over the stud once it comes through the strut hole, and that is now missing, but I can't find it depicted in any diagrams or even in the factory service manual.
Does anyone happen to know the part number for this...
Contact corporate and plead your case (politely). You don't say how many miles you have on it, but that may be a factor. I had 82K, and have owned 7 Mazdas. After going to corporate, I ended up paying only a 'deductible' (even though I have no extended warranty) of $650 to get my head replaced.
It hasn't stalled out. I received this today from the law firm:
Thank you for previously contacting us about our class action investigation into the Mazda CX-5, CX-9, and Mazda6 Engine Coolant Leak Defect. We have made significant progress with the investigation and are preparing to file a...
Just got my car back with the cylinder head replaced. I spent a couple of weeks going back and forth with corporate via phone and email, and they called to say their final offer was to pay $3,500 toward the $7K+ cost. I wrote one additional email back expressing my disappointment, and then...
Google "TSB 01-002/2023" to read the details concerning this ticking time bomb. But from the TSB:
2019-2020 CX-5 SKYACTIV-G 2.5T vehicles with VINs lower than JM3KF******830243 (produced before Jun. 9, 2020)
2016-2020 CX-9 SKYACTIV-G 2.5T vehicles with VINs lower than JM3TC******422801...
Took my 2018 Signature CX-9 with 82,300 miles to the dealership today to get it checked out for the coolant leak. I could not find the source of the leak. Attaching a picture that shows a drop of coolant on the highest pipe I could see.
Did not get a warm fuzzy from the service advisor...
I'm in San Antonio. I bought this particular vehicle in Houston, but I will be going to North Park Mazda to see what they'll do for me. I've purchased a couple of Mazdas from them in the past, and they used to have a good reputation for service, although when my rear hatch lift went out, I took...
