That is really interesting. Maybe I can cut down the NuFinish to once a year instead of two. It does appear to have the same benefits as a ceramic coating minus the shine.
I understand what you are getting at - can a strong abrasive rub off the ceramic coating, but oh god please don't use dawn dish-soap on your car!
But I'm very happy to hear multiple opinions on ceramic coating.
Thank you very much for your help Ride92, you answered all my questions.
My intention is to find a certified detailer to apply the professional level coating. I don't trust myself with the prosumer version plus I like the longer lifespan of the professional level.
Thanks again!
Hi all,
I've been doing my research regarding ceramic coating and I believe I have a pretty good understanding of the advantages. (Easy to keep clean, no extra waxing needed, makes the car extra shiny, etc..) I think I also understand the disadvantages (Expensive to professionally apply, will...
I had the same question. Here is a more updated thread:

TL,DR: Get the Britax Boulevard
When I inquired about the issue to my dealer, they were happy to replace it under warranty. I ended up not going through with it since from what I've seen it just comes back anyways.
Yep. Welcome to the bubble club! I have a 2017 GT that does the same thing. I believe there was a global TSB on the matter too.
Personally it doesn't bother me, but if you want you can take it back to the dealer.
Personally I use Chemical Guys leather cleaner and conditioner:

I used it on both the parchment and black leather and love the results.
First, congratulations on your Reserve Uno! And thank you for a well thought out post. Secondly, I am now mad at you since I want to trade in my 2017 for a Reserve now too. :-) (I'm so on the fence right now but that is a discussion for another time)
Ho boy, sounds like you might have the same issue as me? Check out this thread:

Long story short, I have a creak when I accelerate in cold, dry weather. I ended up letting the dealer rip apart the dash, car door...
I thought the 0% financing was due to the low federal prime borrowing rates. Since the fed has been hiking rates so have all auto loan rates. However, I could be talking out of my ass and 7eregrine could be correct so take it with a grain of salt.
Generally speaking if the 0% was to come back...
As ColoradoDriver said, the 2019s are Gen 2. "Better" windshields, but not the best.
If I remember correctly, one of the hazards of trying to fill a crack is the possibility of it making it worse. Looks like you had the bad luck of the draw on that one, sorry dude. I don't think the auto glass...
The car seat is narrow enough to fit in between. While you can go all the way back in the front seats, you probably can get about 85% before the baby seat touches. I have about an inch or two of clearance between the front seats and the baby seat. (For what it's worth I am average height at 5'...
Later Gen 1 windshields? Oh yeah - they were definitely too thin. The problem isn't as bad in the Gen 2 but notice I state "as bad".

#1 Problem for 2016, 2015
Just an update: I ended up getting 2x Britax Boulevard Clicktight (With anti rebound bar) and installed them in the middle seat of our CX-5s. They work and fit great! Plus by having them in the middle we didn't lose any legroom. I highly recommend Britax Boulevard for anyone looking out there.
I'm sorry to hear that OP. If it is any consolation I had the same thing happen when I bought my wife's 2016.5 AND on my 2017. Mazda windshields = magnets for rocks. (hand)
My wife's was only a week old and had to get the entire windshield replaced. I highly encourage you to try and...
Full disclosure: I am not an expert nor an engineer - I am just an average guy who likes to research these things. I had a similar concern as you and went all around the mulberry bush regarding this issue.
In the end, to keep things relatively clean I use only top tier gas (Shell, BP, Costco...
