I have had my 2018 cx9 since new and have never waxed it...thats almost 3 and a half years and it just spent April through mid July waiting for a engine repalacement at the dealer....out in the lot. The cx9 has been garaged save the time recently at the dealer....and i did wash it frequently...
I have the machine gray also and the black plastic actually looks really good. The cx9 cladding is not extreme around the fenders....now the cx30 i would agree has excessive black trim around the fenders...not balanced styling wise at all. My 2018 cx9 sat at the dealer for 3 and a half months...
Picked up the cx9 this afternoon and man, its great to have it back! Such an awesome vehicle! As far as root cause per the mazda hotline that they called: cracked head. Mazda Hotline reccomended the engine replacement. The engine they put in is part # PYZ3-02-300D....the latest revision, 12,000...
CX-9 engine replacement update: I got a call from my service rep at the dealer and looks like the engine is going in and I will get the CX-9 back late Tuesday of next week. Attached are pics of the new engine and another showing everything pulled off the old engine, tranny on the bench. 3 months...
I should have my cx9 back with new engine anyday now....i am definitely hoping to get some answers on coolant leak root cause and if new engine block/head are newer revision.... and if revision corrects defect.
Thanks for the correction. I know my previous Yokohamas were a special discount tire model and i assumed incorrectly on the Premeir LTX "DT"s(how long does a tire name have to be? lol) Great tire for the cx9.
i would guess the m+s would be noisier due to the more aggressive tread....and of course better for snow, mud traction, and a compound better suited for colder temps....harsher winter areas.
I live in nc so the Winters are mild, but do have occasional freezing temps and a little snow/ice...roads...
