Progress continues on rebuilding our Protege5, but both foglights are damaged. For now, we are going to pull both of them for inspection purposes- but I'd love to replaced them with a "modern" alternative instead of buying a used OEM pair on ebay....
After scrounging all the local junkyards and "u-pull it" yards in the area, I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a replacement fender and bumper from Partify. They offer a "painted" option, and for the price ($245 painted and shipped for the fender), I figure it's worth the risk...
Replaced both broken side mirrors with new aftermarket units. Had to de-pin the tweeters from the original mirrors- which was odd considering how the two wires going to the speaker have their own connector further up the line. Passenger mirror works, but the driver's side is dead on arrival, so...
Long time member, but it's been over a decade since I last posted. Had an '03 P5 when they were new, and loved it. My son just turned 16, and it was time to find a fun daily/project for him. The requirements were:
1: Manual transmission
2: decent gas mileage
3: fun to drive
4: cargo space...
Me- I need a set of spark plugs for an '85 RX-7
Parts guy- Is that a four cylinder?
Me- No, it's a Rotary
Parts guy- So, it's a four cylinder?
Me- NO, it's a rotary.
Parts guy- you want a brake rotor?
me- NO, I want spark plugs!
Parts guy- Right, for a four cylinder?
me- *sigh* Yeah, four...
Heck yeah I'm in!!! Also agree that it would be awesome to have it "driven" from point to point, and signed by everybody! Just make sure there's some sort of max size on the signature, so you don't have one person sign half the darn flag...
Another vote for probably having the wrong lugnuts for those wheels. Even if they are flat conical, there are a couple different angles available as well!!!!
