I can’t comment on splash guards, got them for our 2014 GT, but not for our 2021 Signature. 2014 were easy to install IIRC. Look at installation directions… you may need a 90 degree screwdriver to do back, but I have done so may car mud flaps with that screwdriver…
All weather mats…I have had...
We use the rear cargo cover all the time. Sprung for the Mazda one from an online dealer. Based on reviews, I decided against the much cheaper Amazon ones. We have had our cover on our 21 Signature since late 2020 and no issues. We had our Mazda cover on our 2014 CX5 purchased in 2013 for 7...
I agree that would not mess with the heated steering wheel. Using it now in the Northeast.
Biggest upgrade for us…new tires were huge, even in stock size, Michelin CC2, which are now superseded by v3. Costco was the best price by $200 including installation. I suppose you will have to wait...
Although we have WeatherTech because of the cachet it carries with my wife (so TV ads work, and it’s her car) I have found in past cars I like Husky because the have much better dead pedal coverage. WT only covers half the dead pedal and a lot of debris dals behind the WT mats.
As far as...
Definitely not worth it.
2021 CX five signature was hit with less than 100 miles on it and it necessitated removing bumper, fender and assorted front pieces in the body shop. The emails I received from the Mazda connect, were entertaining for sure as all the system started to malfunction as...
That depends on the car. The manual will tell you how the car is wired and which ports are powered when ignition is off.
You can also physically test the ports with the car off
Fortunately it works fine on my 21 Signature. I think it means you have never pushed it so close that collision is imininent, which I unfortunately have
No experience with the CX90. Own a CX5 Signature and could not be happier with Michelin Cross Climate2 from Costco. Ride and handling and noise have improved so much. Take a look at them for your car.
I drove a new Chevy Equinox with digital rear view mirror and quite liked it.
Wider view than normal mirror, and very high quality video. Once the angle was set correctly the rear 3/4 view in combination with side mirrors was crazy good. No problems in pitch black Volcano National Park...
FWIW
We have a 21 CX5 Signature and it comes with graphite-ish 19’s and we like it. Yours looks great!
So do you know the weight difference between the 17 wheel/tire unit vs the 19’s? Is there a handling difference?
In my limited experience, one time replacing 18 inch PAX run flats with BBS...
I’m pretty sure since the rest of the world has CX-60, there are legal and logistical reasons not to have two entirely different models with the same name.
If they want to stick with the new double digit convention it will become a CX-5x (e.g., CX-55) or more confusingly, maybe a CX-5 Mk III...
While it does not help you now, what I did when the car was new was to go to a shop and have 3M PPF applied to the Piano Black door pillar panels. This was in 2020 and so far so good.
Something to consider for the future.
Glad to hear there were no injuries resulting from your accident.
This may have nothing to do with your accident, but the IIHS updated side impact test comes to mind with the only small SUV receiving a good rating was the CX-5 for structural integrity and design. Be happy you were not in an...
In my experience, I have had excellent usage out of the IntroTech roll up cover, the lowest priced one, since the late 1999 time frame. I have tried various segmented covers, but over time, they start to fall apart. Each IntroTech rollup sunshade is custom cut to your car model
It is light...
it is a popular car, no doubt, but not as popular as my old Honda Accord. Back in the day when the I-405 in LA was 4 lanes, we had four Nice Blue Honda Accords lined up across all four lanes. Never had that with the CX-5, much less all the same color and same generation.
