Our first was a '20 CX-30 Preferred in Soul Red Crystal. We loved it. We were going to buy it, but the dealership gave us a great deal on a '23 Turbo Premium Plus in Polymetal Grey. What's not to like? It was super quick and had all the bells and whistles. Honestly, we didn't need all that...
We leased our 2020 CX-30 in March 2020. It is a fully loaded Soul Red model with just over 30k miles on it. It has been a great vehicle. The negotiated residual was a little over $18k, which is much cheaper than we could buy one the open market now due to reduced inventory and inflated used...
So, I use several ways of playing music in the CX-30.
1) iPod (very old school)
2) USB stick
3) Apple CarPlay
Several days ago, I removed the USB stick and plugged in Apple CarPlay. The system would play the music for a minute and then shut down. This must have happened 10 times before it...
I've noticed over time that the plastic cover over the gauges is badly scratched. Same with the plastic around the shifter. Just wiping the dust off these areas with a microfiber cloth leaves scratches. Is anyone seeing the same thing and, if so, have you found a way to remove them?
I moved my iTunes library onto a stick. inserting the MP3 stick made the display go completely dark. It eventually came back after restarting the car. Now the MP3 stick plays but when I scroll through the menu it says "reading USB" forever and just gets hung up. I love the CX-30 but can't...
I do find our CX-30 requires constant corrections on the highway compared to my A4 but my partner is the one who drives it and doesn't seem to mind. I still think it is an overall great vehicle for the money.
Yes, we still use our iPods in our cars. Eventually we will just switch to our iPhones. In the interim, when we have them plugged in and try to scroll through the songs it just sits there and won't advance. It also takes forever to pull up playlists/tracks. My '17 Audi A4 does this really...
We have leased/bought first-year models for years. I have a '17 Audi A4 (first year model) that has had no issues. I leased, financed and then bought it outright. I bought an '09 Audi A5 (first year) and had no issues. We leased a '17 CX-5 and pretty much rode out the lease with no issues...
Mazda seriously needs to go beyond the 6-speed auto and add more gears. Maybe 8 gears? We've had a '17 CX-5 and '20 CX-30 and the 6-speed is the one thing that annoys me about them. It just feels like it is holding the car back from greatness. More gears could make the cars faster.
We traded a '17 CX-5 for our '20 CX-30. We loved the CX-5 but each time I drove it I felt like I was sitting "on" the seat rather than sitting "in" it. It felt very hard and high. I also just personally like the streamlined interior of the CX-30 vs. the chunky looking CX-5 interior. Just a...
I haven't heard of Ziebart in years. I had an '82 280zx (dating myself) and it was treated with Ziebart due to rusting. It still got rust around the hood scoops.
Sorry for the late response but, yes, it is a 2020 model. They completed the recalls in 3 hours so I am all set. None of the recalls would have caused the car to break down as you can see in my original post.
I was just surprised at the number of recalls. I have a '17 Audi A4 that was a...
My Audi A4 gives me the ability to display future songs on itunes and skip to them in the infotainment display. I never found this in our CX-5 or our current CX-30. Am I missing something?
Soul Red/Black Premium FWD. Got $1500 Mazda dealer incentive + $750 Mazda loyalty discount off sticker and the dealership paid the last lease payment of $459 on the '17 CX-5 we traded in. I felt the car was already a lot of vehicle for the money so I was happy.
We considered the Q3 because I am a long-time Audi owner and still own a '17 A4 that I love but after comparing the CX-30 interior with the Q3 the Audi was out of the running.
Hands down, it is the vehicle you get for your money. Exterior styling, interior styling and materials are exceptional for this class. Performance is also decent. It especially handles really well.
We traded in a '17 CX-5 at lease end and although the exterior is stunning the interior...
