2007 4-speed AT 2.3 I calculated 36.4mpg on miles and pump data for a long steady speed highway drive. That seemed incredible, so pragmaticaly fudging the data downward I couldn't get below 34mpg.
The high scraping noise sounds like something rubning on the stone guard and the repeated thunk could be a stone embedded in the back of the disc. I've had that happen.
Not a solution but any car that's been parked, consider a critter is involved... nest in the intake or exhaust. If you can share a clip video or sound that might help us help you.
Just learned at state safety inspection the 3rd brake light, the LED brake lamp on the top of the rear windsheild/tail gatelift, is not working on my '07/88k Has this failed for anyone else; was it a lose connection or an actually broken light? Looking for some ideas what to expect before...
Does sound like it could look wierd, but is that so wierd it'd be an issue? You could drop in a sheet of wood/plastic behind the chairs to block the gap. Or maybe just velcro in a vinyl curtain... all sorts of creative solutions.
Never know anyone owning a jeep that wasn't plauged by problems, basic mechanic and electrical stuff too. Having a reliable car will be a welcome relief. Good luck on the test drive!
