If it's raining and you turn your headlights on or in a constrution zone which is the law in some states the GPS goes into night mode and you can't read it. There is a light sensor on the dash, can't it figure out the sun hasn't set or give us an over ride.
Tom tom will get you there , it may not be the shortest way, she does prefer toll roads and i think she is in bed with more than Shell gas. Around home the streets have wrong names and she shows paper roads.
I did like my Garmin better, better maps with the right street names but she took me on...
I have 58k on mine, a few trips from NJ to Fl and one to Ohio, after a day behind the wheel we are a bit stiff but we're 74, I don't think it's the car seats!
The new maps aren't any better than the old ones :( Yesterday I was trying to get around an accident and a forest fire and the Tom tom map with all of it's paper roads that "may" get cleared someday is useless. There was a story in Popular Science today on how to hack your nav system with a old...
Read the warranty! A friend had me read hers, all repairs must be done by a licensed machanic, not the gas station down at the corner and deffinetly not you. Factory parts only, no upgrades or custom parts or they can wiggle out of paying!
I assume you are talking about the front of the car. Yes you can wire it for either white or amber turn but a white turn is harder to see next to the headlamps.
I'm waiting for an amber /red switchback for the rear :)
Maple Shade Mazda in NJ offers free Castrol synthetic oil changes every 7500 miles but the shop is looking for other stuff like cabin filter and alignments so that free usually cost me about $200 but it does come with an extended powertrain warranty so for the miles I put on it's probably worth...
Nice, I wanted to do the blue reflective tape on the front like I had done on the back and take it inside the headlights but the dealer told me they didn't come apart :( So someday when the wife isn't home I need to use her oven :) I'm going to burn in hell for this!
Easy, no! I took mine off to shrink wrap the grill header, lots of tools involved, loss of blood and I should have upgraded the horn while I had it apart.
Yes the ride will get harsher with smaller sidewalls and a pothole has a better chance of pinching your tire and killing the rim.
As for those MPG claims, did they tell the computer the new tire diameter? Because the onboard computer is too dumb to fix the hyperflashing when you upgrade to...
Careful what you put on, I got too aggressive and put English Racing EBC Reds on my CX-7, it stopped faster but I cooked a front caliper, a hub and both rotors in short order :( I went back to OEM
Although the brakes felt stronger on the CX-7 it's stopping distance is about the same as the CX-5...
We had a sign behind the service desk stating there was a $5 charge for explaining something that was covered in the owners manual. That would work here too as I see questions on the forum that were answered in the owners manual.
Fog lights are for lighting the ROAD just in front of you in fog...
I'd be happy if it was just once but since the upgrade I first get the will I share info that has to be cleared and then the disclaimer. BTW, they don't want you taking your eyes off the road but if you switch from audio to nav these must be cleared before seeing the map!
