This car is an exceptionally poor choice for use in MN during the winter. I got rid of mine because it was so horrible to try to drive at anything colder than 10 below zero. The brakes are way too grabby for the cold pavement, even with snow. Steering was really vague when it got below zero too...
Mines already gone. I bought a 91 Integra for 75. No car payments anymore. Cheap insurance too. I don't care if this one gets dented. I miss driving the speed though.
You my friend need winter tires and wheels. I would start shopping for those right now. I waited until November last year for my snows. I never found the right size or tire. I know this will be the biggest upgrade possible for anyone with an ms3 in Minn.
I still haven't seen your car yet!
Just unplug the foglight wires. It took time, yeah, but it wasn't hard. The toughest part was finding a place to lay the bumper cover once it was off the car.
My dealer has no problem with me tracking my car 15 days a year. They ask about safety items like brake pads and track tires more than how hard the car is driven. Believe me, they can scan your cpu for whatever they want. But they should also realize that they sent you out the door with a car...
I've got over13,000 trouble free miles on my Injen cai. Install did require the removal of the bumper, but it was no problem. Mileage improved by 2-3 mpg, the sound is awesome, the torque is even better. Buy what you want. The Injen is great. the MS cai is too. Neither will affect your warranty...
How do you like your General UHP tires? I need new tires, and those are some I was considering. Wheels look cool. Like a really sleepy regular 3, but somehow way cooler at a glance. Very stealth my friend. Nice.
Congrats and welcome!
Most everyone on these boards are so into getting more power out of an already overpowered front drive car that they overlook the best money you could ever spend on any high performance car. Look into high performance driving schools in your area. Get your car on a closed...
Been there, never done that. I'd walk a mile if it meant that my car was safe, and that someone who needed the spaces had access to them. The parking lot Gods are not a fickle bunch. They dole out swift, severe and expensive punishment for those of us who might even consider disrespecting them...
Congrats!
I like the new seat material. Looks way better than my grey/silver stuff. I'm not feeling the piano black interior though. Otherwise, sweet. Loose the side moldings too. I'll keep a look out for you. I'm in Excelsior. Lets meet up some time to share notes when your done breaking it in!
+1+1
Right on Rotus. Best mod period. Learn to drive safely and properly on a closed road course, and nothing you bolt on your car will ever touch the track time!
Nice ride! Looks just like mine, only yours isn't covered in snow/salt/roadgrime! Nice job shaving the door mouldings too. That was my first mod. GT or Sport?
(cheers)
Sorry to see this happen. Really though, no judge will believe you were doing 40 mph when they see the pics of the skid marks. Looks more like you were going 60 to me dude. Thanks for jacking all of our insurance rates too. All of the mods you list in your sig, and probably not one dollar spent...
