Prior to 2022, they were TT Certified. I doubt they made their fuel worse.
I'm betting they just looked at the numbers and weren't getting a good return on whatever it is they pay to be TT Certified.
To be clear, I absolutely believe in TT. I have a shortcut on my phones home screen to the...
Yea, I already mentioned this on page 2.
As to why wouldn't they WANT to be Top Tier? IDK...maybe they don't feel like paying TT? Because you know everyone on the TT list pays to be listed. They don't just award it to you. They have to join the TT Alliance or whatever its called.

I am completely OCD with my car. My daily driver...which is no longer the Mazda.
I take care, good care, of all my cars. I do a huge interior exterior clean once a year. I mean every nook and crevice. The engine bay too. Condition the leather.
Every car (have 3) once per year.
But my daily...
This has zero chance of happening. There's no way they are going to update old cars to disable that. You knew it had that feature when you bought it. You accepted it then. Hell, they may not even remove it from future cars. Maybe, MAYBE, if the next Gen car comes out and they do disable i-Stop...

There is absolutely NO shortage of people going to dealers for work as evidenced by the times to get into some of these dealers. They don't need to MAKE the cars fail to...
"Lifetime" does not mean "during the warranty period"... So tired of that Conspiracy theory.
Every company says this today...it does not mean "through the warranty'...it doesn't mean "up to 100K".
It means A LONG TIME.
Can you imagine if Mazda's trans only lasted to 50K miles? Probably...
OMG I thought this was a new thread and I started scrolling...then saw my replies... :D
I posted in...2019/2020. I still have that car. Almost 90K miles. A warranty would have still been a waste of money.
What are you buying Smithjn?
I'm not that invested and perfectly willing to believe what they're saying. I can understand a company not wanting to pay for certification. And it's not like BP is some tiny little gas company.
At the end of the day, there are no BPs around me. 🤷
