Same here, my screen was replaced in 2022 and cracked again this winter after a cold spell. This time I will only replace the glass myself like others have done above, should be a cheap and easy fix.
I am not sure you can open the hood and charge the batteries without opening the door. But road services agencies (AAA or CAA, etc) should be able to get the door open for you. It isn’t really hard to do with the right tools and knowledge (like they do for anyone that locked their key in the...
What you are describing is the car immobilizer. A bad immobiizer is not impossible, but I wouldn't fully trust AI diagnostic and jump to that conclusion. It is normal for the car immobilizer symbol to light up.
A few points
(1) You can check if the engine immobilizer is working by turning the...
Normally i rank Mazda high in reliability, but the CX-70/CX-90 are in their first years and have a lot of new unproven components.
The CX and the telluride are two very different vehicle though. I highly recommend you try both. The Mazda is sportier but doesn’t come close to the Kia/Hyundai in...
If i was in your situation. I would get a cheap used gauge cluster and do forensic on it to see if the screen can be easily removed and swapped. Hoping that the screen is just a screen and does not store the mileage data of the car.
Also here is a post that explains how to to get to the removal instructions:

Grainy, dim speedometer (after conversion from km/h to mph) 2022 CX-9
Based on the member photos it looks like the screen would be...
Sorry missed the link to the thread in my post above. Here it is
Post in thread 'Grainy, dim speedometer (after conversion from km/h to mph) 2022 CX-9'
Grainy, dim speedometer (after conversion from km/h to mph) 2022 CX-9
That bad luck. I don’t think it is very common i have not seen this happen here i think
This thread may help you. The member ended up disassembling is gauge cluster. You can see photos of the screen without the cover in his posts.
There are a lot of used speedometer on the market for a lot...
The turbo is all torque in the low end, not much hp in the hight end. At 55mph the transmission isn’t that well tuned and the turbo feel flat and is kind out of its stronger range. Especially if it kickdowns and rpms goes above 4000
The power in this engine does not “ramp up” with higher rpm...
To me it looks like the infotainment on the Cx-5 is a direct copy of the Mazda 6e, which was made for the chinese market and sold there as the EZ-6. It came out before the CX-6e since it went on sale in China on October 2024.
And you can see a review here, including of the infotainment...
That’s likely because they are connected services. (like getting traffic data through cell network and using the internet for voice recognition).
The question will be how much you can use the service without subscribing. Like will the nav be available but without traffic, etc.
Honestly i...
The speed cutoff on my stock manual 5 speed 4 cylinder Mazda 6 2004 was at 125mph. The CX-5 would probably be able to reach around the same speeds. It just won’t get there very fast. But I suspect the max speed on the speedos is selected more in terms of design and visual than actual speed...
You won’t find a matching VIN. That doesn’t matter. The other comment saying the link is for Australia is correct, but there isn’t much difference between the Australian and American model. 95% of the work will be the same. As long as you select the correct generation of CX-5.
That:. Or alternatively the manual also says that the hazard warning lights flash when locking and unlocking doors with the theft deterrent system:
(With theft-deterrent system)
When the doors are locked by pressingthe lock button on the key while the theft-deterrent system is armed, the...
Mazda does make it really vague. The system is very subtle as well, people may have it without ever noticing. But I don’t know in the US if it is there or not.
The spec sheet for the 24 mazda cx-5 in the US says it has
Engine-immobilizer anti-theft system
But the Canadian spec sheet says:
