Um, no bs, just telling you about the latest tech for quiet tires. while there is some tread noise from outside the tire, but there is also the resonance of the tire.

At the motorcycle shops and dealers they have cleaners made specifically for cleaning the muddy dirt bikes. I wonder if that might work well here for this purpose>? That weird felt stuff in parts of the wheel wells is the unknown for me... maybe a laundry soap?

If you go through any auto car washes, they spray film on car that also will leave a film on the window. Try THOROUGHLY 2x cleaning the residue off the window with a window cleaner, or some isopropyl alcohol, or ammonia. Then THROUGHLY 2x wipe off your wiper blades also using the same cleaner.

You are overthinking it... The car does not know if there is an update. It is the dealership who knows, and applies the update if there is an applicable problem with your vehicle.
