    Re-Flash

Well that's good to hear. I believe you mentioned in another post that you are also running either a CAI or SRI intake and performance exhaust. If that's the case, I would be interested to see what your car would pull on a dyno with the ECU upgrade and the Citgo fuel. I have to believe that the...

    Re-Flash

That's unfortunate. My experience has been that unless you're running forced induction, I would be extremely skeptical of a re-flash that advertised over 20 lb-ft of torque gain. Since the torque is really just a function of how much air and fuel the engine can suck into the combustion chamber...

    Mazda3 Sedan Pics!

Thanks! What's strange is that I think I like the look of the MX-5 wheels better on my Mazda3 than on my MX-5. Probably just because it's such a different look. Also, the extra 1/2-inch of width pushes the edges of the tires right out to the fender lip.

Very nice, Stephen. So what's your take on the performance gain from the intake?

    New Member Question lowest springs???

Rear Camber Links By the way. I'm running the SPC adjustable rear camber links. Otherwise the rear camber would be ridiculously negative.... around -3 degrees without them.

    New Member Question lowest springs???

Eibach Sportlines Here's a shot of my '06 with the Eibach Sportline springs. They are about as low as you can go with factory shocks, as I'm practically on the bump stops and it just barely clears parking lot speed bumps.

It's definitely the sound It's definitely to reduce sound. At WOT, once the engine hits 2,500~3K rpm, the sound out of either the SRI or CAI intake is actually louder than the exhaust. (Let me clarify that.... factory exhaust.) Personally, I love the resonance sound made by an aluminum CAI...

    Intakes!

In case anyone is questioning why replacing the factory intake on the Mazda3 2.3L engine makes such a big difference, just take a gander at what the air has to fight through before it reaches your intake manifold. Not only is it a hell of a restriction (obviously to reduce noise) but the entire...

    Intakes!

I recommend CAI over SRI I have to disagree with Gofast and Thejeans. I've run both the SRI and CAI on my Mazda3s and they both give a significant improvement in performance and sound. Additionally, they seem to smooth-out the throttle response in the 3k-4k range. Using my calibrated...

    Painting Mazda emblems

You could do like I did and not just stop at the front emblem.

Has anyone mounted 215/45R/18 on 18x8 rims?

Are you talking about mounting on an NC (2006 or newer)? If so, my buddy is running factory RX-8 wheels and tires 18x8 225/45/18 without any issues. But be careful with the offset. Mazda's seem to need a high offset wheel, 45 to 52 mm.

Looking to buy 2004 RX-8.... advice?

Thanks for the feedback, DRMH. That's very good information. Do you know what kinds of things I should be looking for when I check out the cars? Engine sounds? Suspension sounds? Acceleration characteristics? Leaks around any windows or doors? Brake wear? Unusual tire wear? Steering feel...

Looking to buy 2004 RX-8.... advice?

Hi guys, I currently have a 2006 Mazda 3S as my daily driver, and am looking to expand my Mazda stable with a 2004 RX-8 with the 6-Speed. I've seen several of them listed on Autotrader with 'new' engines, which has me a bit concerned. Obviously the car will no longer be under warranty and I'm...
