My main leak, which I was dreading doing the reapair, I thought was around my oil pump or front main seal, actually turned out to just be my valve cover gasket leaking inside the timing cover, I didn't think a vc gasket could leak as much as it was.

Gotta love little leaks, I finally have all mine fixed!! It was killing me.

No, not that I've noticed. The only negative is that you forgo the vacuum assist, so the oil will technically get dirty faster. Not fast enough for me to switch back though. Simplicity wins.

I had some issues with cc ventilation as well. I gutted my pcv and run both ports to a vented can. Works good now. Had a little extra blowby during the break in period, but all is well now.

New gasket. But if you don't have one, I personally have had great luck with copper rtv!
