    Garee the snail's build thread

Well expensive or not, this is the build I have wanted to do for a while, so I am going for it. I'm planning a 13b-RE swap on the motor. I was going to combine my parts of my motor and the irons and upper of the RE, but I have to get the long-block to do that anyways, so I might as well just do...

    Garee the snail's build thread

For those of you who don't know my car (garee), it's a 1987 rx7 turbo II with 82k miles and all of it's major original parts. It has been through a couple of small builds (engine management, fuel system, etc.) But I think that it is about time to go with a full-on build for my car. There have...

Need a paint job, on new bumper.

Surprisingly enough, maaco is pretty good at bumpers and fenders. You will need some color-matching done on it since the paint is definitely faded out a little at this point. Maaco did a repair job on my friend's mustang and it turned out great. They are independently owned and operated, so...

    New tejas moderators

Other one is bbrich. He doesn't post in this section much, but he is on top of spam. He will probably clean this place up quite a bit as far as old and unnoticed spam. We are super mods together on another forum and his amount of spam bans are almost double mine.

    New tejas moderators

There was an oversight that left the texas section without a moderator. I'm sure that all of you noticed the useless posts in this section. Admin has assigned two of us to this section now, so we should be able to keep it clean with no problem. For the record, I like golf, but I hate spam. That...

The problem has been dealt with. There was an oversight that left the texas section without a moderator. There are two new texas moderators now. We both deal with a massive amount of spam on another forum, so this will be very easy to keep clean for the two of us.

88 RX7 FC Turbo overheat warning chime alarm buzzer CPU disable problems

Under the dash on the driver's side, there is a little box about 4" wide with a harness clipped into it. Just pull that wiring harness and see what happens. Another thing that you can try is to pull the two wires off of the top of the radiator. And press them together. If the beep stops, that...

anybody in houston knows how to make protege headlight bezel black??

If I wasn't so busy right now, I would help you out. I'm working 90 hour weeks right now, so I don't have time for anything. The only advice that I can give you is to buy an extra one and make that your guinnea pig.

88 RX7 FC Turbo overheat warning chime alarm buzzer CPU disable problems

the p/s would be the easiest to check since you just have to pull the clip under the steering wheel. Not saying that's it, but I had a similar problem and that was the solution.

88 RX7 FC Turbo overheat warning chime alarm buzzer CPU disable problems

You get a similar noise from the power steering system as well. Have you removed anything from there? Next time this happens, pull the harness off of the p/s computer and see if it stops.

    2nd gen rx7 to drift?

You would need to do a full turbo swap or just buy a turbo II. Buying a turbo II or someone else's turbo swap project would be the easiest way. All rotary engines are a little more serious on the maintenance, but the FC is, IMHO, the easiest to maintain.

    2nd gen rx7 to drift?

I know quite a few fc drifters. Toe-steer elim. and bump-steer kit are a good investment.

the price isn't bad, but the engine is disassembled right now. if you wanted to go for that one, i have a guy that could help put it back together and get it running. i would ask him to drop the price some more though because he has had it listed over and over with no bites. you might want to...
