    Screen Protector

Do you mind posting a pic? I Was wondering how much a glossy cover would help the sharpness and color.

    Anyone a fan of...

Yeah I can*t comment on the fun factor of WRX*s because I*ve never driven one, but subjectively speaking I think they*re very dated looking cars. But I can see the appeal for those who covet the budget racer genre that Mazda left. If I were into that, Id have the WRX on the test drive list...

    2020 due?

Yes that*s true, but last year Mazda had to overcome flooding and that weird production start-stop schedule that was circulating on the internet a few weeks back had 2020 CX-5 prod starting pretty soon I believe. Who knows though.

    2020 due?

Last year I think the dealer leaks started in September and the 2019 was *revealed* in November. I wonder if it*ll be quicker this year since there probably aren*t any big new features.

Windshield sunshade recommendations for new CX-5?

Yes when I lived in Arlington thru 2016 they had the tax window sticker. Still do, unless they finally killed it during the past two years.

New CX-5; 655 miles. Looking for tips on initial wax, care, etc.

A lot of folks these days opt for ceramic coating on their new cars. It costs several hundred for a pro to do it but lasts several years. A lot of dealers advertise it as a *care free* option, but enthusiasts still regularly wax it for the extra layer of protection. I*ve personally never...

Windshield sunshade recommendations for new CX-5?

Windshield tint is also not practical if you*re from a state that uses stupid window decals for inspections.

    Strange Traffic Sign Recognition Readings

Psst: https://www.mazdausa.com/static/manuals/2018/cx5/contents/05282900.html *The TSR helps prevent the driver from overlooking traffic signs, and provides support for safer driving by displaying traffic signs on the active driving display which are recognized by the Forward Sensing Camera...

Anyone concerned about the upcoming recall on the 2018 CX5??

I agree the CD appears to be a no-gain feature, but I think we*re all forgetting what makes Mazda so attractive to car enthusiasts: Their engineers have guts. Hell, most of their fame comes from being the company that kept trying to make rotaries work. They*re simply executing the same...

    Puddle lights

Agreed. Boggles my mind that car companies skimp on features that probably cost them only a couple dollars - or maybe even cents - per car. I*d rather the car come without wiper blades if it meant they*d include the cheap creature comforts. The Korean companies seem to get that, but others are...

    2019 CX-5 Diesel

Skyactiv-D*s future in the US: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a28380212/2020-chevy-equinox-gmc-terrain-no-diesel/

    June Sales - USA

They just don*t have enough capital to do it all at once. I*m not sure it was wise to not update the dealership experience before doing junk like the diesel.

    mazda cx7? for 2020...

I don*t think they*ll bring back the CX-7 name. Based on this weeks news that they trademarked a bunch of double-digit CX names, I*m guessing the CX-30 marks the beginning of their plans to phase out CX-3/5/9 and use CX-30/50/70/90 as the new models or new generations are available.

    Machine Gray paint durability

FWIW Im shopping for a 2017 CX-5 in machine gray and have looked at about 4 in person and neither had a chipping problem. There was one with a couple chips, but the rest were flawless. And Im talking 18-30k mileage specimens. I inspect closely due to these threads, but am not at all worried...

Upset beyond belief, 3-day old 2019 Signature damaged by detailer!

Well just to be clear, the OP*s problem has nothing to do with Mazda*s paint. When you polish, you are only affecting the clear coat layer unless you mess up like this guy.

    mazda cx7? for 2020...

It only shows 2020 production, not 2019 for the 6 diesel. So that*s probably right.
  18. J

    mazda cx7? for 2020...

Not months away. The 2019 cutoff date indicates the *CX-7* was produced this past year and is NOT a new model. So this is clearly a typo.

    Prices paid for 2019 CX5

No. Sounds like best you can expect right now is 10% off MSRP, which gets you around $33k but then it goes right back up with taxes and fees.

Anyone concerned about the upcoming recall on the 2018 CX5??

Agree to disagree. I think a handful of posters are sensationalizing this rocker arm issue. We all know you hate CD and would love Mazda to eat crow over its decision to add it to the 2018*s. You*re on record. Move on. (wiggle)
