My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

No i didnt. I take it you missed the part where no longer have the car. This is the only car out of about 35 cars that I've had to have this issue. It's not user error but poor adaptive programming if you have to make it shift not to bog down. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

I agree but in traffic you can't always due that and that's my gripe. I shouldn't have to force the car not to bog down due to poor programming for day to day traffic. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

Then it had transmission issues from mile 3 when I bought it. Mazda even said nothing was wrong with it. I think it had more to do with 3 different people driving it. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

Nothing wrong with my ankles bud. I'm not entirely sure how you got that. Lmao I'm not the only one that has experienced that issue in my 2015 2.5l fwd cx5. I'm just used to driving something with a lot more power and not used to almost having to floor it to get the Trans to shift to...

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

I know the shift points are hard but giving it more throttle for it to down shift, it doesn't shift, even more throttle, doesn't shift, more throttle it, doesn't shift, more throttle it finally shifts it annoying as hell. The cx5 does that when it bogs down. It's really dependant on how you...

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

The only real issue I had was AC related and it took several visits to the shop and two replacement s of the HVAC controls. Other than that only "issue" was more of a gripe about the Trans shift points. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

We did have a base 2.5l as a loaner while ours was in the shop that had sport mode and it was a blast to drive. It made it a world of difference. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

My take on the CX-5 after 20,000 miles

It's funny you bought this because of a growing family. I got one(2015) for the same reason. Power was good but the Trans programming made driving it annoying at times with it lugging in gear at 20-30 or 30-40 depending how the Trans wanted to act, that with the "big" 2.5l. We ultimately traded...

What have you done to your MSP today?

I've used GM syncromesh in my old grand am and it made a world of difference. I've put pennziol syncromesh in my msp due to the price difference and it made a good amount of difference over regarding gear oil. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

    Slight Concern about MPG

I wasn't impressed with my the fuel mileage of my 15 2.5L fwd cx5 either. 30k miles later I ended up trading it in on a 15 Durango and the fuel mileage isn't that far off from the cx5 for something much larger than the cx5. I average 20mpg in town with a v6 in the Durango and the cx5 I was...

    Baby Seats in CX-5

Just a update, we sold our 15 cx-5 with about 30k miles on it for a 15 dodge Durango and couldn't be happier with the room for a car seat in the back. it doesn't have the fuel mileage of the cx5 but its not that far off and much bigger and comfortable.

    firewall cabin water leaks.

remove the center console, remove both from seats, remove the rear seat, remove the door sills at the bottom of all 4 doors, and I think you might have to unbolt the from seat belts near the floor, and everything else should be straight forward. it has been YEARS since I pulled the carpet out...

    I Hate My CX-5

My CX-5 has been in the "shop" if you will for a total of 12 times in the past year for random issues. defrost not staying on defrost, tpms sensors, power seat issues, proxy sensers, key lost programming some how, random hard shifts etc etc.. which is another reason why im not overly thrilled...

    I Hate My CX-5

Eh, that's not enough to really say much. Just points out that you dislike Chrysler products. In all honesty I don't feel the trans will hold up in the long haul in the CX-5. the car is already noticeably louder engine and road noise wise then it was new. The trans shift points are all out of...

    I Hate My CX-5

What is so bad bout the Durango? My wife likes the newer style ones with the V6. We haven't test drove a highlander or sequoia yet but my wife isn't to fond of the body style of those. My wife likes the fuel mileage of the v6 drango and the ecoboost explorer

    I Hate My CX-5

Annual mileage in my area is 30k and I wouldn't call 20-30k high mileage car. I can see it being high mileage for the year but overall high mileage not so much. We will be keeping the CX-5 another year and trade it in on a explorer or a Durango more than likely. One of the biggest reasons we...
