06 EVO IX MR vs. 06/07 WRX STi. I have a few questions.

Maybe because for 2 to 3 grand into a EVO 9 you'll be putting down 350whp and be able to hit high 11's to low 12's

    DP Gains: 21+whp / 41+wtq = 284whp/322wtq

subscribed!!! I'd like to know the final results if he is actually lean or not. I'm looking to do these mods but don't want tot run lean. I'd much rather be safe and rich. If it means being lean with these mods i'll wait to install them when there is engine management out for the MS3.

    DP Gains: 21+whp / 41+wtq = 284whp/322wtq

Do you have a dyno sheet that you can post with just the race pipe? I'd like to compare the AF ratio before and after the DP install if I could.

    DP Gains: 21+whp / 41+wtq = 284whp/322wtq

Did you dyno your car with just the race pipe and if so were you running lean then or have you just started running lean since adding the downpipe to it? Thanks. Rob

06 EVO IX MR vs. 06/07 WRX STi. I have a few questions.

I'm pretty Evo savy(because of my friends) and with Intake, turboback, boost controller, fuel pump and a tune you'll be at 350 whp and it'll be safe all day long. The only thing you'll have to really upgrade from there would be a clutch if you intend to launch it from a dig at all in the future...

LOL, I think you just answered your own question my friend which is better for you. Rob

06 EVO IX MR vs. 06/07 WRX STi. I have a few questions.

Both cars are very nice but when it comes down to performance 2k/3k in the Evo and you'll be putting down 350whp and could possible hit very high 11's to low 12's. It'll take alot more than 2/3 grand in a STI to yield those same results,if that's important to you.

Will the MS3 have the same issue as MS6 with a CP-E downpipe?

Excellent............ and that just blows (pissed)

Will the MS3 have the same issue as MS6 with a CP-E downpipe?

Yeah but the 1st person that responded to this thread said it's the way the downpipe is matched to the turbo and crappy seals that cause the smoke. Is there no way to fix this seal problem and how come it doesn't smoke with the stock downpipe but when you change out to a aftermarket one the...

    Video of exhaust sound

I love the way that sounds!!! I currently have the mazdaspeed catback which also deletes the muffler plus 1 of the 2 resonators and think with the test(race pipe) that sounds great. Can you tell me about the flanges thickness on the racepipe and are the welds mig welded or tig welded? Thanks. Rob

Will the MS3 have the same issue as MS6 with a CP-E downpipe?

So it's the seal that connects right from the turbo to the downpipe, correct? So getting a test pipe (elminates just the 2nd cat only) you should not have this issue? Also if you were to get the corksport downpipe with a testpipe you'd probably have the same issue of smoking too?

Will the MS3 have the same issue as MS6 with a CP-E downpipe?

Hey Guys I was just doing some research and ran into this thread about the CPE downpipe having issues with smoking on the MS6. A full catless down pipe will be my next mod but don't want to be sitting at a light and have smoke coming from my engine, i'll pass on that. Here's the link below...

2008 WRX vs. 2007 MS3 by Inside Line Video

No one is flamming as far as i can see but these discussions could go on all day. Slap this turbo on this car......., upgrade to this and you'll be at......It's endless and a big penis war. I mean no disrespect to anyone on here. I'm just way more inpress with the EVO over the STI for price vs...

2008 WRX vs. 2007 MS3 by Inside Line Video

Not even close as far as the comment goes about the srt-4 owners. You noticed i said nothing about the EVO? I have plenty of friends with EVO's and with $2000.00 in mods or so you'll be putting down 330 to 350whp(evo9). It takes alot more money to get the STI in that kind of range of power...

2008 WRX vs. 2007 MS3 by Inside Line Video

LOL, especially the STI!!! My buddy has a 2007 STI with Intake, catback and cobb stage1 and we did 3 friendly 60mph and up pulls and every time i had 1 to 1.5 car lengths on him= good times (cabpatch)

2008 WRX vs. 2007 MS3 by Inside Line Video

LOL, the MS3 runs pig rich, here's a STOCK MS3 with just a proper tune on it(nothing else),289 whp and 310 lbs of TQ And here is a full stage 2 STI( turboback exhaust and full tune) putting down 278HP and 316 LBs of TQ. I don't see the MS3 having a issue putting down more HP and TQ with...

2008 WRX vs. 2007 MS3 by Inside Line Video

you'll most likely keep up with one. The trap speed in the MS3 can be very deceiving. The reason of the lower trap speed on the ms3 is because you are boost limited in 1st and 2nd(10lbs) from 3rd up you get full boost(15lbs). So if racing say a 60mph up roll the MS3 will keep up with a car that...

    Cat-back straight pipe?

I can't argue either way because i never dyno'd before and after each mod, but I am clearly faster than my friend and the only difference is the CBE.

Who is overboosting and to what?

Yeah I can't wait for some plug and play to get going. I have alot of friends with suby's that are very happy with the cobb AP. I hope it does well for this car also.

    Cat-back straight pipe?

Agreed..... Me and my friend both have MS3's. Him with a CAI and me with a CAI and catback exhaust and i am clearly quicker than him. Now he just bought a downpipe and testpipe so now i'll be the slower one.
