huh? you can buy the trim kit from Jason at onlinemazdaparts for a couple hundred bucks actually...just trying to see if anybody wants to sell it for cheaper...plus it's always good to reuse, reduce, and recycle! :D

thanks for the advice on the rx-8 rims. I think I'm going to stay with 17's for now...I think... (eekdance)

I did the rear first when I installed mine, and didn't have to unbolt anything...just make sure you can get in a good position to really force those hangers off/on. I suggest going to the gym for some upper body workouts a week or two in advance :D

I would also suggest getting some zipties to use on either side of each hanger to fine tune the placement of the exhaust tip. Don't want it too close to the bumper!

wow thanks for the write up! I didn't know the 3 takes almost 6 quarts! What an oil hog...the protege5 only used 4. This makes oil changes a little more expensive lol

nice write up! my friend has heated mirrors on his 2007 mazda3 (he's in Montreal). I'm gonna have to do this mod on my 3 so he can't brag about his heated mirrors anymore lol
