HP of the Turbo on 91, vs 87 or 93?

Whenever people say you won't notice a change in your powerband because it's "insignificant", it tells me that person doesn't really pay attention to how their engine is performing and when (gear/rpm/throttle). There is certainly nothing insignificant about the ability of a higher octane fuel to...

    Question on the AWD system

There sure is a lot of grown man/woman QQ'ing going on here. Might have to lock this.

    Question on the AWD system

I would never buy a FWD car when an awd version is available. Better traction, better use of engine power, better cornering potential, less understeer, more tunable for how you want the car balanced. I'd skip fwd all together (except Mitsubishi Mirage). The rie and now prevalence of fwd is due...

2017+ CX-5 AWD Differential Fluid Change

What the. . Don't mess around with mixing oil. Either use the expensive oem hyoid oil, or use 80w90, the "other" mazda gear oil (which was specified before they introduced hypoid), which also can be found of the shelf.. also hypoid gear oil is pretty easy to find. 80w90 or 75w90 (easier to fibd)...

    Koni Yellow adjustment and settings

I'd start with adjusting them to prevent/reduce bottoming out, then go from there.. remember when you adjust the dampening you are also affecting oversteer/understeer tendency so the stiffer the rear vs the front the less understeer

Thoughts on Megan Springs vs CorkSport Springs?

Cx racing has coilovers for less than 500. I only hear poor feedback about the CS springs

Right Wrist pain from using the Infotainment knob

Really, I had some "carpal tunnel" when I started playing piano. When I started stretching my wrists for getting into vertical bodyweight movements (handstands and such) it went away

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Replaced the a pillar trim that had holes from when my gauges we installed on it, and soaked my TCS micro switch in electronic cleaner because it became almost unusable (again).

    2022 CX-50?!

I think 300hp gives a good p/w ratio in this weight range. And that's NA horsepower, from an I6 so it's gonna be torquey and smooth. 185hp gives you 8-9 second 0-60 and little reserve power at 80mph unless you have like 10 gears. So increase engine power and gear down the trans to give a...

How to increase HP on my 2019 CX-5?

That what I'm saying.. if you anticipate a need to use power more aggressively than the trans programming provides, use the equipment you already paid for... sport mode or better yet, manual mode. I use manual mode regularly. I almost never start moving in D and I rarely corner in d because I...

How to increase HP on my 2019 CX-5?

Ovtphilippines@gmail.com Rafael is the tuner. You can ask if he is tuning gen 2. Expect to spend around $500 but that's for actual power using your flashes ecu (as far as gen 1 tuning). Idk if he is doing gen 2 but until recently when Matt Wilson (founder) moved to toyota/Lexus tuning Orange...
