    At its current price point the CX-5 is hard to beat. Although, if it’s moving up market it’ll need a transmission with similar characteristics to that of the ZF transmission in BMW’s. The Mazda’s tranny feels like a Buick compared to the ZF.

    Earlier in his thread on N54.com Terry talked about having a hard time making HP with this engine. Torque was no problem, but the high RPM HP just isn’t there. Speaks to the small turbo Mazda used. I’ll be sticking with the base Map on the JB4 whenever it’s released.

    Winter is here and my CX-5 Turbo is now a 2.0L!

    I use 93 octane consistently. Can’t speak to the effects of <20 with lower octane.
