my worst fear, might've finally happened...

I drove it from San Diego to home and it wasn't till I got home that it began to flash. That was about 80 miles or so. According to the shop, they used diff coils and plugs to test the other cylinders and it was just the #2 that kept giving an error.

Do I just go to another shop or is this something I can do on my own. Im assuming there's a tester? Very true and I find that quite interesting.

Advice on work to be done on P5

Any advice on oil rings? how hard is it to do this myself. I've done most of the work on the car. The rings are cheap enough but I guess you have to clock them? Burning waay too much oil to let this keep going.

Advice on work to be done on P5

Yes! that's exactly where is comes out from. As for the stop leak. I haven't wanted to do that for fear that if I stop it, I'll think it's alright and not worry about it. This way I know there's something not right which needs fixing. So consensus is to just buy an oem mount? I want something...

Advice on work to be done on P5

So I'm looking to do a couple things on my car. First, I'm pretty set on buying a AWR transmission mount but not sure on what duro, stuck between 70 & 88. Anyone have either or has tried both? Second, I need to either replace my power steering pump or seal it, as it is leaking from the suction...

What have you done to your P5 today?

Did the ChrisFixx headlight hack, waiting for the clear coat to dry so I can see how they came out. Let me know where you get that clutch line from. Looking into upgrading as well.

Power Steering Pump Leaking, Oil Pan Gasket Leaking

for the oil pan, I would suggest buying a new one or if the existing one isn't soo bad, clean up both mating surfaces and use the black stuff and try to get the edges as well to ensure a good seal if that things isn't coming off for a while.

The Rad/Shroud is a solid upgrade. Super easy to install. Might want to grab two pigtails from the junkyard to install on the shroud as they don't come with connectors, just wires. You can also go the more racing style and get the controller kit. It manages temperature to a specific degree so...

Mazda Dealership Breaking my Car More than Fixing it

That's the thing once you get the itch to work on your car. You know you'll pay attention to detail because it's your car. I try to work on mine as much as possible unless we're taking about something major.

Oh you definitely need SS lines my friend. Love the feel of them. Smooth brakes even when done suddenly. I'm sure they will feel great with the Mazda6 calipers.
