I have the ZFR7F plugs and I regapped them to about 0.035" ... it's really hard to tell what you gap them too... even when using that tool. damn Sam, those are nice numbers. I need somebody experienced like you to tune my car.

SMIC might give you a slight bump in boost pressure, but probably not much. however, you will feel less heatsoak with it. so that is a good thing. I have one step colder plugs NGK PZFR7F-11... runs fine.

first of all, why do you want to retard the timing? second, you will most likely need full engine management if you want to mess with the timing.

UPDATE So I drove to my friend's place and it felt like it was hesitating/bogging/fuel cut, luckily i got there in time and parked. Afterwards, the car wouldn't even rev correctly in neutral. I sit there revving it and all it does is bounce all over the place. I took a vid on my cell phone...

interesting results. I know my car runs like crap in very very hot weather. I think even in those conditions, an upgraded radiator would only make a minor difference. it's just way too hot. actually, i did see quite a number of cars pulled over with their hood's popped open.

It was almost 120F AIR temperature. I have no clue what the ROAD temperature was in the slow moving traffic, probably even more. Hmm..... i guess there's no real solution other than to be more careful, turn off the A/C and make sure you're moving to get some air flow. I need a ScanGauge tool...

i believe you have to clock the GT28RS so that it is oriented in the right position. do some searches on here, there are some members running with the disco potato.
