    2017 CX-5 Phone Mount Options

Just in case it inspires anyone else, here's my setup in my 2019: Already had the Proclip phone holder from my last vehicle, so just had to purchase the KF gen CX-5 specific mount from them (10% coupon helped there). For my own needs, I prefer the phone within reach even if with CarPlay...

Yup, I get what you mean, and in agreement.

    Questions for turbo owners

I moved from my own 2016 GT to the turbo in a 2019, so potentially your same scenario. While I had only minor quibbles with the Skyactive-G engine during my 4 years of ownership, after purchasing and driving essentially the same vehicle with the 2.5T I think I'd seriously miss it if I had to go...

    Well...that was lame.

My viewpoint is that with AA/CP, car manufacturers can starting moving away from being primarily responsible for music/navigation in their vehicles, and instead defer to devices that many of us already own. That is only a good thing, as most car entertainment systems to date are poorly designed...

When I was a kid I walked 10 miles to school.......

Did I take a wrong turn and end up in the Miata section? (wiggle);)

Ah, my heart is warmed and my funny bone tickled! This all is the sense of humor too often missing from these type of forums! Bravo to you all! (yippy)

2013~2016 2016 Mazda CX-5 LIFTGATE STAY DAMPER Issues

I traded my 2016 in earlier this year, but I had posted on here on another thread that my (already once replaced under the recall) struts were starting to fail...slowly but surely over time the gate opening strength lessened as did the height the struts kept the gate. What was mildly irritating...

    Inner Rear Cargo Door Protection?

I went a bit hog wild in the first weeks after getting my current vehicle, adding in accessories I had slowly added to my last CX-5 over time. A couple neighbors thought I was insane for dismantling interior trim in a less-than-a-week-old car to re-install my front/rear dash cam. But, you get...

    Inner Rear Cargo Door Protection?

Avoidin Deer, you may still be onto something, even if the extra hooks aren't present on the 2nd Gen....I could use some automotive grade Velcro and just attach some type of black padding material to the lower (when closed) inner gate trim area. Easier than using the wrap, as nothing has to be...

    Inner Rear Cargo Door Protection?

Thank you! Yup, I have a horizontal flat cargo net, which definitely is a must for groceries and other miscellaneous smaller items. Love the fact that at least the new OEM version has clips to close it shut instead of just allowing things to slide out as my old one did (can't remember it was...

    Inner Rear Cargo Door Protection?

I know, a minor thing overall, and sure, I could use ties or bungees to better secure anything I might place in the cargo area, but: I got annoyed by all the relatively minor but slowly building up over time scratches, gouges and scrapes on the inside of my previous CX-5's rear door. In...

2017~2025 Chewed up plastic after only 30000 m?

I've been trying to mentally picture how this could happen, and could only come up with something more solid and stationary than road debris acting on the plastic there. The type of damage definitely suggests abrasion, unless as Unobtanium suggests it is rodents (pretty basic rat, if so!). It...

    Rear seat rattle

What year and trimline? There's a TSB for certain 2019 CX-5s regarding a noise from the rear due to a too close tolerance between the muffler hanger bracket and the car's hanger rod. However, I've heard nothing about a common issue across all cars--sadly sounds like a dealer who just doesn't...

Anyone have trouble deciding between the CX-5 and CX-9?

And see, that's one particular reason why I individually prefer the CX-5! :D I went to my dealer with a 90% assumption I'd get another CX-5, but researched ahead of time and test drove the CX-9 Signature as well. Beautifully appointed, with good pep, and a nice appearance, but the extra...

CX-5 Power Liftgate when engine on

Aha! Thank you, Iwannaxc5! Just had this confusion with the in-laws visiting this weekend, and felt foolish. Completely shut off the car, but now I know to ensure the vehicle is in park and simply unlock the doors to allow liftgate access. I assume this will also allow opening from the...

2017+ CX-5 mirror cap - JDM bright silver vs USM Sonic Silver

There's what seems to be an OEM Mazda part # in that listing (K156-V3-650). After some cross-referencing with Mazda mirror cover/garnish installation instructions, it appears that the OEM garnishes are meant to replace the existing mirror cover and not just fit over it. Also, the associated...

    2015 CX-5 Android auto upgrade

Doesn't your vehicle have the Mazda Connect system? If so, then it can be upgraded. I seem to recall that most 2014 and newer MZD vehicles are capable of the upgrade, and I don't recall any exceptions for the 2015 CX5.
