Grounding Cylinder Head Test Results (2024 CX-5 Turbo)

I added one today from the 5th bolt on the TB (that secures a bracket for the rad hose) to the driver side chassis. This looks wrong, I know. 😂

What 5W30 oil brand do you use in your CX-9?

Oil analysis is $40 for me (who pays about $30 for oil). $30 UOA is a better deal! 😀

Thank you! I didn't think about that. So the Idemitsu 5w30 I plan to send in will have traces of Royal Purple 0w20. Should probably still send it in to check on the potassium/sodium values. My filter is going to Pete who cuts them open on YT.

Going back to post #63, he meant the transmission shifting pattern relearning procedure.

By the adaptive, I wonder if he meant the whole suite of adaptive features such as adaptive cruise control and etc, everything that learns from how one drives and tries to help make it safer. There must be an option to reset those features. I only have blind spot monitoring. 🤷

Grounding Cylinder Head Test Results (2024 CX-5 Turbo)

The grounding kits on Amazon usually come with 5 cables, 4 sets of nut/bolt/washers and a bracket with 4 mounting points. The cables look kinda thin though. I found a few more sets of these cables from my solar setup and will try to add them today. Judging by the available mounting points on...

Grounding Cylinder Head Test Results (2024 CX-5 Turbo)

Will read the revised #63 in a bit. Found a few things in my tool box so tried this for now. Is it ok to use the same point to ground different wires? I wasn't sure because the other strut tower bracket offers multiple holes.

Grounding Cylinder Head Test Results (2024 CX-5 Turbo)

I started looking around and saw this wire on the passenger side of the bay that goes from a bracket on the head to a bracket by the strut tower. Also found two holes on the back of the engine, the last picture shows one of them. If that's on the head, then it's a pretty easy task. Two is better...

What 5W30 oil brand do you use in your CX-9?

I thought it's ok to mix if they're the same type (synthetic/conventional)? 😅 The CX-3 has gotten mixes between different brands and viscosity (0w20/5w30). Will use VRP for at least 4 cycles. There may or may not be any difference that I can feel.
