    '18 CX-9 and Fortin Remote Car Starter...Success!

No no, the EVO-MAZT1 is a brand new product, from what it sounds like it is essentially an EVO-ONE with a built-in T-harness. https://fortin.ca/en/products/evo-rs/evo-mazt1/

    '18 CX-9 and Fortin Remote Car Starter...Success!

The Dronemobile unit (control via mobile phone) can be added to the EVO-ONE. If it can be done the same for the MAZT1, then MAZT1 is the way to go.

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Nice, that article sheds light on many of my questions. Still love my 2019, but the 2020 has so many additions and improvements that I wanted, namely power 2nd row, hands free lift gate, and the updated keyless entry. I don't care for the larger infotainment screen as much because I use AA all...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Huh, I did not know that the Signature was never offered in Soul Red. I hope somebody comes out with a full, detailed list of updates including small things like: Will they finally show a TPMS display for each wheel? Do away with the lock/unlock button on the door handle, and adopt the new...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Had a nice 60 degree weather yesterday so I took the opportunity to wash and apply Collinite 845 for the winter.

Welcome! Someone has added all the chrome trim pieces of a GT/Signature to a Touring model, if you want to do that in the future.

    Dealer installed remote start

Fortin is the easiest install ever, don't waste money going to the dealer/independent shop and DIY. I'm looking into adding a Dronemobile unit to mine so I can remote unlock/lock/start it via my phone.

Impossible to properly dry by hand ;-)

Husqvarna sells a backpack leaf blower that blows 900 CFM at 200 miles per hours. If that doesn't blow the water off, I don't know what will lol. Another trick I use is after the final rinsing I "wet" the paint. It's another rinse but with just the open end of the hose and slow water flow. What...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

The customer cash sometimes differ by state. When I bought mine earlier this year Wisconsin residents only had a 1k rebate while others offered 2k.

Impossible to properly dry by hand ;-)

I use a tiny leaf blower (by Milwaukee tools) to get most water out of cavities and spots like seams, door seals, headlight edges, roof rails, etc, then just using a regular microfiber towel. Never had a problem with this method. Note that a leaf blower will not be very effective if your paint...

    Oil confusion-16-19 2.5t

I follow the flexible maintenance reminder. For my supposed-to-be 3rd oil change, I set it to a fixed schedule of 6,000 miles. With ~300 miles left on the counter, I drove the CX-9 900 miles to NJ with the intent of just changing the oil there. The oil had ~6,700 miles when I changed it, but out...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

I need to get me one of these. What's the plan if you need to use the 3rd row? Does it fold up easy?

Will an 18 improve much ride quality over 20?

Go to Tirerack and pretend to be buying tires and wheels, and they should give you all options that will work out of the box, including if you want to step down to 18s.

2016~2023 Snow and ice performance of AWD CX-9

I'm from Wisconsin, too. We bought ours this past February so we got to test it out in snow and ice, we even drove it to Minnesota through a storm. The stock tires on my 2019 are Falken Ziex. Not the best tires, but it performed decently this past winter. Once these wear out I will be switching...

    2016 Touring Dashboard airbag indentations

If you are wondering what those are, they are creases so the dash breaks up when the airbag deploys.

Nitrogen + detergents = Less Carbon Buildup on Valves?

Ah yes, I remember Mazda specifically designed the 2.5T to mitigate carbon build up on valves. Thanks for the reminder! The Speed3 on the other hand... Might be next winter's project because this winter is fully booked lol.

Nitrogen + detergents = Less Carbon Buildup on Valves?

Correct, no effect on DI engines with keeping the valves clean. I dread the day when I need to media blast the valves on my Speed3 and maybe the CX-9.

Help! 2007 CX-7/CX-9 BOSE amp and speaker question.

If you want to keep the old headunit with your iPhone XS using an adapter, you need to find an adapter with a Ground Loop Noise Isolator. This will remove the buzzing sound when you have it plugged in for power. Something like THIS. I use THIS one on my Mazdaspeed3 since the OEM headunit does...
