2024 CX-5 GS Ride Quality and Noise Levels

It's strange reading about the CX5 suspension being too hard when it is the softest of all of the current Mazda lineup. When I hear ride complaints about the CX5, it's usually about the ride being too soft or that it has too much body roll

60k mile recommended vs required service? 2020 CX-5

You only bought it 4 months ago. You probably don't need anything yet. Most dealers will at least do the oil change before they sell it. They probably did more work to it when they CPO'd it. They should have given you a Carfax/AutoCheck report of its history and that should show what they did to...

2021 CX-5 Service due in 3600 miles indicator showing when starting

absolutely do not tell him to go 10k miles between oil changes. Especially while he still has the factory powertrain warranty. 7500 mi or 1 year for normal driving; 5000 mi for severe newer models that have been updated recently (Mazda 3, CX-30/50) are the ones that say 10k miles/12 months in...

    2017 CX-5 vs 2024?

starting with the 2018 models, Mazda did a lot to reduce road noise and vibration. Every years since there have been incremental improvements to NVH. You really have to take on for a test drive in the area you live to see if you notice the difference

    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

Toyota, Honda, and Subaru all use high moly oil for their 0w-20 factory fills. I think it's the same Idemitsu oil for all of them. The 0w-16 and 0w-8 Toyota now specs are also very high in moly

2024 CX-5 GS Ride Quality and Noise Levels

I don't understand the "stiff" comments. The 17" tires have the most rubber and the CX5 suspension is considered the softest of all the current SUV lineup What vehicle are you coming from? Maybe you're just used to something much softer Allow time for the tires to break in. Give them 500-1000...

Why do dealers do this? Overfill oil then argue?

That's not a liter over. From the min to max dots is one liter. You're probably about .2-.3 liters over which is hardly anything. Please show us the dipstick

    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

I just switched to 5w-30 on my 2017 Mazda 6. The "feel" of the engine is definitely different. It's only been 2 weeks so it's hard for me to nail down the difference. What has changed is my mpg. I used to get 29-32mpg on my daily commute. Now I get 26-29mpg
