I think I've got the same problem... 55,000 miles... went for new front pads and resurfaced the rotors... and ended up with a clicking noise from the front end when applying the brakes...
I'll take this line of thinking / action up with my mechanic...

I'm having a clicking noise coming from my front brakes... just had the rotors resurfaced, and new pads installed... and as I'm braking from 30 mph down... particulary when I get to 10 and below... there's a loud clicking coming from either side up front... only when applying the brake... no...
stock wheels painted BMW gun metal
Didn't want to go for another set of wheels right now... so painted the stock 16's a BMW Gun Metal color...
Maybe that will hold me over while I burn up these tires...
I, too, have had a thing for gold on white... longer than you'd guess...

Yup... the windshield installed on 02.25.08 Cracked... after 1 month and roughly 1,500 miles... this time in the lower right hand corner. The car was sitting all weekend when I discovered it Monday morning.
Safelite changed it No Charge to me or my insurance, and I'm back on the...

I know... but I think for the miles I do a year ( 30,000+ - this is a work car ) it may not be in my best interest... My STi ( my real fun car ) is running on Eibach's ( roughly 1.5" drop ) - which I love - but for the P5 I think I'd only consider something if it were to be only...
16 stock wheels painted
Snows came off Thursday afternoon... and the stock wheels ( now painted a sort of BMW gun metal ) are back on... they look bigger than 16" to me ( or maybe that was because I was getting used to looking at the 15" steel snow package )... maybe will keep me from looking...
