Check Personalization Features section of owner's manual regarding 360-degree-view monitor; you can adjust:
Setting can be changed so that the top view/front view displayed while the vehicle is moving in the forward direction after reversing is not displayed.
Check owner's manual at page 4-12, determine which type of instrument cluster is in your vehicle, and the info you seek should be in the appropriate section (Type A begins at 4-14, Type B at 4-30, and Type C at 4-46). Good luck.
What finally got me over the finish line was catching a line in one of the various instruction sheets: to wait 5 seconds after performing procedure before starting motor (the other thing I tended to do was lift my foot off the brake too soon). Hope this helps...
Yeah, just found it; starting at p. 6-31. I'll give it a try. (I swear the blade assembly looks as if it should open, especially on an end, but I guess not.)
Thanks, all!
I ordered a pair of the K331-88-240 13 head rests from Japan Parts (~$170 with shipping) yesterday. Waiting for shipping details. Fingers crossed all works out. Thanks to the forum members for the detective work!
Succeeded in turning off DRLs, and running parking lights looks nice. One additional word of caution along the lines of pushing start button twice and keeping foot on brake pedal throughout procedure: instructions say to wait at least 5 seconds after performing procedure before starting motor...
OP: Try this next time you get in your car first thing in the morning: don't press the brake pedal and push the ignition switch. If the key fob is being detected, the car won't start but the car will go into accessory mode. If nothing happens, the fob isn't being detected.
I believe someone reported something similar with a pre-2016 CX-5 and it turned out to be a faulty brake switch (car won't start if it doesn't recognize brake pedal is engaged).
According to page 4-162 of the OEM regarding the Lane-keep Assist System (LAS) & Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS): *The steering operation assist for the LAS & LDWS can be changed to non-operational (OFF). Refer to Setting Change (Personalization Features) on page 9-12. When the steering...
From the online manual (can't compare with OM that came with my car as it's in glovebox and I'm not):
Switching to cruise control function
When the MODE switch is pressed until the system switches to the cruise main indication (white) while the MRCC with Stop & Go function system is turned on...
Was going to chime in that my 2019 CX-5 sig came with floor mats that say "Mazda," but just checked and they say "CX-5"; no mention of "Mazda" anywhere.
