Will 225/60 R19 fit on stock 2018 CX-5 Grand Touring wheels

There are several people who have used a 245/65R17 or a 245/60R18 with only minor issues (slight rubbing at full steering lock, etc.). A 245/55R19 would be the same overall size as either of those, it would get you close to half an inch of sidewall height, and it would mount on your stock wheel...

    Getting Used To Automatic

Like all other vehicles I've ever driven with electronic throttle control, my CX-5 seems more responsive when I take maybe half a second to go from zero to full pedal engagement. I've always operated under the assumption that slamming the pedal to the floor is momentarily ignored by the engine...

    Mapping for Backroads

The weirdest and coolest roads Ive seen listed on the navigation display are the test tracks inside the GM Milford Proving Grounds.

You should be golden with that setup on a non-turbo model.

Do you have exact wheel and tire descriptions? Sorry if I come across as not trusting you. Its just that Ive seen some people ask some REALLY stupid wheel and tire questions.

    Engine Breaking, New Car

If youre on the brakes going downhill, flip the shifter left so that the IP display shows your gear instead of D. I bet itll be something lower than 5.

Im sure lots of people are doing it. I was planning on doing it, until I found out the turbo models cant take a 16 wheel. Do you have any specific questions?

    Engine Breaking, New Car

Mine will downshift at least to third gear by itself if Im on the brakes going downhill. Further, theres a reasonable theory Ive heard that says you need engine braking to properly seat your rings and break in your engine.

    Load Creak, New Car

Ill bet good money its your seat rubbing on the console. Did you or the dealer apply anything to protect the leather or make it glossy?

Ive noticed that after jacking up several vehicles, the springs apparently wont re-seat until I drive for a bit. Its especially noticeable in the rear. Have you driven it and noticed the issue persisting?

    Cheerfully withdrawn.

    G-Vectoring Control

I think you're confusing GVC with stability control. All that GVC does is control the throttle to reduce engine torque, thereby pre-loading the font suspension bushings.

    G-Vectoring Control

There's a ramp on the north side of Ann Arbor, Michigan where US 23 southbound joins M14 - it's an oddly cambered and radiused road, and I've always had a hard time maintaining a smooth line there. With GVC+, I no longer have the issues I used to. I set my line, and the CX-5 follows it.

    Best Off-Road/Mud/Snow Tires

You should have zero problems with that setup, other than maybe added weight.

To many wheel weights on 19" OEM wheels? (>100 grams)

I think the TPMS sensor only weighs like 40 g (and some of that mass would be there for a regular valve, anyway) so I doubt that's it.

    Smooth Wheel

In West Virginia, aftermarket steering wheel covers are specifically forbidden by state law. The cops are known to take a utility knife and cut off any offending equipment. I used to think this was a pretty sketchy policy, but now I'm starting to come around on the idea.

    Mazda service concerns????

Oakland County? Keep in mind that people who have to have their vehicles serviced arent usually in a good place emotionally, and it will show in their opinion of the shop. Ive had some issues with Brighton Mazdas service department, but theyve done other jobs where I thought they handled me...

6 month Review of my 2019 CX-5 Signature

I've wondered if this is why I see it so often, but I can't imagine there are that many people who work in logistics or purchasing. Then again, the guy who does our CAE modelling likes to put the word 'sag' in all caps...
