I'm curious why you'd settle for reduced performance as well as limited durability if you're possibly gonna have to do it all over again in +/- a year or two. They may go even longer but I'm just sayin'...

New Michelin tires mounted and had a broken lug replaced for free by Brake Masters. (yippy) Catching up on previous posts and really sorry to see the number of folks leaving the MSP scene. I hope quite a few die-hard enthusiasts hold onto theirs and I can continue to pick everyone's brains...

Thanks for the replies so far. I went ahead and picked these Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 215/45ZR17XL from Discount Tire. These will go on the MX5 rims and I'll keep a log on rotations, wear & tear etc. Warranty is for 45k and rated Treadwear of 500 so this should last awhile.
